Are people oblivious to the collapse we are about to face?

Most people were never taught about money at home or in school. and therefore have no idea how to budget. People cant save because they have the “live for today” mentality or keeping up with the “Jones’es!” People use their home equity as an ATM to buy car, boats, etc. Most people are in debt up to their eyeballs and don’t own much because it’s bought with iou’s and debt. It looks like they are doing OK on the surface but I don’t think they really are imho. Look at car leases for example,… you see all these shiny new cars and people with $1400 Iphones,…etc but they don’t own them,….even the cell phone plan is like a “lay-away plan” for their expensive phone!

I remember older Generations that lived through the Great Depression,… they would save a piece of aluminium foil if they could and were very frugal,… never eat out,… vacation,…buy a new car,…etc.

Unfortunately most people are going to be like “Deer in the headlights” when things go South,… feel kinda sorry for them but then I don’t in one way because of their arrogance and dismissive attitudes when I would try and mentor them and help educate them,…. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way I guess,…. The “Hard-Way” will make them remember and not want to repeat the pain,…Good luck folks!

I think with a full scale collapse like we have never seen before in modern recorded history would wipe out most of the Population within the 1st few months from starvation disease and violence,…etc. the roving marauders and looters would be downsized greatly and much weaker by the 2nd quarter 4-6 month time frame imho. People will have to eventually cooperate to rebuild a semblance of a society if we went full Mad-Max in a collapse. I don’t under estimate what people that are desperate will do,…

and this is why i have been having trouble sleeping the past few weeks. i can not shake that this is coming. feel like yelling at the top of my lungs at people in the stores to wake the fuck up, but i realize it would be useless.

All around, it seems people continue to spend spend spend as if everything is normal. Are people not running out of money? I sure as hell am, and have been pinching pennies for months. Is it just my perception, and I am only noticing the wealthy out there? The last week I have this impending sense of deep economic despair is about to strike, the likes of which has never been seen before. I do not think it will be comparable to anything we have seen in the past since society is now so dependent on the digital economy. When things collapse it will be epic and there will be no safety net as the vast majority of people are so disconnected from self sustainability. And, I do not think those who have skills and the resources to be self sustaining will fare that well as the hungry hordes will seek them out.
