Well I live in the woods and hang out with one guys a painter, he makes good money. He saying that many people stopped spending and he can't find work. It's happening.

This is certainly a piece of it, and something that differentiates this situation from what was experienced last century.

Here in the Seattle area the stores are absolutely packed full you can't get a parking spot hardly. People are going to restaurants they're going to stores they are buying new cars.

Most people were never taught about money at home or in school. and therefore have no idea how to budget. People cant save because they have the “live for today” mentality or keeping up with the “Jones’es!” People use their home equity as an ATM to buy car, boats, etc. Most people are in debt up to their eyeballs and don’t own much because it’s bought with iou’s and debt. It looks like they are doing OK on the surface but I don’t think they really are imho. Look at car leases for example,… you see all these shiny new cars and people with $1400 Iphones,…etc but they don’t own them,….even the cell phone plan is like a “lay-away plan” for their expensive phone!

I remember older Generations that lived through the Great Depression,… they would save a piece of aluminium foil if they could and were very frugal,… never eat out,… vacation,…buy a new car,…etc.

Unfortunately most people are going to be like “Deer in the headlights” when things go South,… feel kinda sorry for them but then I don’t in one way because of their arrogance and dismissive attitudes when I would try and mentor them and help educate them,…. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way I guess,…. The “Hard-Way” will make them remember and not want to repeat the pain,…Good luck folks!

And Mr smart ass produces nothing. He shuffles money around like a game and creates nothing useful nor beautiful. I create things constantly, have never had money and won't miss it as much as you will.
Put a dot com after my name and listen to my beautiful music or order my book. You should see my embroidery. I make stuff, real stuff. I also cook from scratch and only shop with farmers. My life is full of usefulness and beauty, not money. You can't buy a better pie than I can bake.
There is always a way to have a good and simple life.
I also had the sense to choose a good location for what is coming.
