Here's a interesting American Samoa history item;

9/29/2009 American Samoa was hit by a 8.2 earthquake followed by a Tsunami minutes later. For the next week or two many people lived in their Fale's next to their houses. It was quite a big shake.

Fale

Sukkot that year was October 2-9th.

By the way the name of the 1st Island the Samoan's settled upon in the South Pacific from where they expanded out from.... TAU.

Lost tribe perhaps?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84233985

Very possibly.

If you were a displaced group traveling to the end of the world how would you calculate it?

Also it's interesting they are located just North of a Physical geological corner of the Earth where Tonga trench makes a 90 degree turn.

Their Migration has been tracked and they passed up plenty of other more suitable homes to settle on one small rock they named Tau.
Farewell American Samoa, the "last stop of today and just a stones throw from tomorrow"and with that said and done I stood up, standing at the end of the day and walked boldly onward into tomorrow and to the given day of rest.

I think a lot of people, Christians even, feel like it's a form of virtue signaling. It's perceived as, "look at me, I'm more Christian than you."

Especially when using Hebrew. Even making sure to refer to Messiah and the name of Jesus in Hebrew.

Especially when Jesus nor the Apostles even spoke Hebrew.

Why not ancient Aramaic? Or simply in English since you all are only fluent in English

LOL, are you sure Yeshua and the apostles did NOT speak Hebrew???

Did you know that when the scribes were forced at the point of death to transcribe the Torah from Hebrew to Greek, they would NOT write HIS NAME in Greek?

HIS NAME is NOT adonai, GOD, HASHEM, or LORD. HIS NAME IS YeHoVaH!!!

When the messenger told Yoseph the Child's Name, I guarantee you it was NOT "Jesus"!!!

Virtue signalling, LOL, I live this 24/7.

I have come out of babylon, Praise YaH!!!

Did my own brit milah when I was 35 so I could keep Pesach like Yeshua and His original taught ones did.

Virtue signalling, LOL...

Shabbat Shalom!!!

It is common to wish people a peaceful Sabbath, even before it starts.

hf
 Quoting: OGEBY

Of course you are aware that a biblical day begins at sundown and ends at sundown, per scripture.

The following is for those who don't know.

As one day draws to a close, another begins.

WHEN A BIBLICAL “DAY” BEGINS AND ENDS [link to davidwilber.com (secure)]

It is clear that the AC you responded to chooses not to acknowledge this simple fact, either out of ignorance, or rebellion.

It is why in scripture, when they sought to entomb Jesus after the Crucifixion, that it was important that it be done prior to sunset. (It is also important to note that Jesus died on the cross, just prior to an annual sabbath, that annual Sabbath, fell during the mid point of the week, it was not the weekly 7th day Sabbath. That Sabbath was Passover, but wait, scripture shows that Jesus instituted The Lords Supper in it's place. Why? Because, Jesus became the Passover. He is the lamb that was slain in it's place, once and for all, doing away with animal sacrifice. Jesus instituted this change himself (As was necessary to make that change come about, as demonstrated in the following scripture).

1 Corinthians 11:26 Context

23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.)

Which is why we have the following;

Hebrews 10:1-14
New King James Version

Animal Sacrifices Insufficient
10 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once [a]purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will
5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been [c]sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

For more detail on this see; Christ’s Crucifixion Was Not on Friday [link to rcg.org (secure)]

I felt it prudent for me to expound on that for the understanding of those who may lack it, now, back to the Sabbath beginning at sundown, We again see another example of when scripture says the Sabbath begins; as the day began to close in the scripture below. What does it say?

Luke 23
52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. 53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

Aside from those former Sabbaths, which Christ fulfilled at His coming, for the weekly 7th day Sabbath, Friday has always been the preparation day for it, not based upon name, but on which day of the week it fell on, which has never changed. At sundown, the Sabbath begins. All preparation and work is to cease or be finished before that point.

Why not?

It isn't wrong to preach the Word of God on the Sabbath, especially when it's a place just like this that people really need to receive it.

Jesus customarily spoke on the Sabbath.

The following is how Chris't people profess Christ to the world.

2 Timothy 4:2 Context

1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Having heard it, or read it, they then are without excuse if they should fail to abide by it. Thus it fulfills scripture.

Matthew 24
14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

You are making this about something that it isn't. Jesus died once for ALL MANKIND. What He came to do and did, isn't reserved to select groups. It's for all people everywhere.

Every human alive in our age is called to adoption as Sons of God and Joint Heirs with Christ.

John 1
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
