I couldn't believe how bad it was this morning with these local Saturday morning radio shows. Even some of the callers were having issues getting the words right out of their mouths. But the worst were those trying to read from a script, news, weather, traffic report, etc. |

They did a number on me, honestly I don't even know if I'll be alive much longer. I went from being a bodybuilder to having heart and neurological issues that make life very much more difficult. They took me out of the game, essentially. I'm only 37 and now I have to think about this shit. I really do count my blessings every single day I wake up. Not good. INFJ/Conservative Artist |

They stutter and mispronounce a lot. It's been happening to a lot of radio personalities. It was painful listening to one guy trying to read the news this morning on the radio. He would stutter or misread something wrong with every sentence he tried to read. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84300648 Tune around the radio, particularly AM where there's a lot of talk radio stations. With rising interest rates and everything else going on, it's not going to be so easy as 2 years ago. Do some math to make sure you'll be spending less after your move. You'll likely end up with a higher interest rate on another home. I moved out of the cities almost 2 years ago. Took me two months from the time I listed my home in the cities to the date I moved in to a new place out in the country. Started getting offers on the house sight unseen 15 minutes after the listing opened. It turned into a bidding war and after the price was up 10% over asking price, I took the cash offer the following morning. I wanted this done quickly. I had already made a cash offer on the place I wanted to move to at 10% under asking price and they accepted. Two months is all it took to do both these transactions and I was moving in. My realtor however was my daughter, and that helped a LOT. My move was prompted by this pandemic and the riots in Minneapolis. I just didn't want to live in a suburb of Minneapolis or anywhere near a large city anymore. I wanted to be out in the country with some acreage. I was already retired and so I had plenty of time to get all of this done. I'm so glad I made this decision. I'm happy where I am now. I can shut the outside world off at will now and pretend everything is fantastic once again. Wish you the best of luck. Stay on top of things and keep pushing forward. Once you're where you want to be you'll feel much better. |
