About the film
In February of 2022, producer Kian Simone watched as RCMP officers starved out peaceful pro-freedom protestors during a week-long standoff at the Coutts border. It was unclear whether that order came directly from Ottawa.

It was a familiar theme encapsulating the past 115 years of Alberta's history — since confederation, Albertans have felt ignored and mistreated by bureaucrats in central, or Laurentian, Canada.

It certainly would be interesting to see AB, SK, in Canada and ID, WY, MT, ND? and the eastern halves of OR, and WA in the USA come together as a new nation!

Born in Alberta, lived in BC since 1991...

I will for certain get an Alberta Passport when it comes into being.

They need to hook up with Montana, we would be full of natural resources! We always said the northern border should have run north to south!

I always thought that the big fear was Quebec and the French-speaking people wanting to split off. I guess I wasn't paying attention.

That was back when Trudeau’s father was our PM, go figure. Quebec held a referendum to leave, but not enough votes. I think the same thing will play out in Alberta now under Trudeau junior, only this time it will be Alberta.
