Our Oklahoma weather is always kinda weird this time of year. It's that brief few weeks of having the possibility of needing to run the AC and the heater in the same day. It's weird. Typical, but weird. However, I would say that it seems like it got cooler sooner than usual, which worries me a little bit. I think I'll go buy a bigger grow light system so I can keep my peppers going. Right now, I only have one for my staple - various salad greens and herbs.

My pumpkins didn't grow at all because of those stupid squash bugs. I tried everything to get rid of them :'(

Jeebus! it hardly ever gets that hot around here. It's supposed to be 31 here tomorrow morning!

I used to live in OH, but I don't think it was that cold in Oct.

It will get down to 30 once or twice here in Dec or Jan. Summertime, it's in the 90s with real feel (including humidity) being 100-115.

I saw the pumpkins for sale quite cheap and wondered if I should do one a carving. I'm sure Hubs wont mind me with one of his power tools from the shed.

It was 39 overnight here outside of Denver. Just a one day cool snap but it's coming

It doesn't have to be carving skills. Some of the winners just use imagination or even dumb luck to win by picking a good idea!
