People here are from all over so you have all the panicking selfish pople who need to buy everything up and be greedy.

Comcast/Xfinity can't get through to thm. They are reporting our internet as good while some of us have lines ripped down.

No internet still, first time on mobile data about 3 hours ago. Just got power today and water 2 days ago.

Gas lines have mellowed out.
Target is open.
Small Mom/Pop stores some open some closed.

Restaurants mostly closed.

Things are opening up though and as of today traffic signals are up on main intersections while temporary stop signs have been placed at minor but busy intersections.

The real "heros" are the electricians.
Not the police. Anyone can direct traffic! Hahahaha

LCEC refused outside help and had 9% power up while FPL was at 80%. Ron got on their butts and now the power is rolling here.

We have some streets with electrical poles down all the way down the street.

I am lucky. I have good neighbors all around me. On each side ans across the street. We have helped each other well.

Interestingly some kids were out playing, just like the 80's. That was nice. That and just haningoutise talking with neighbors was great!

More to say, but I will end on that positive note.

I guess you created this thread with your buddy to put out disinfo about Florida and DeSantis. Well I live north of the area that was hardest hit and I don't think it's cool one bit to spread lies about what's going on.

headed down to domino's to pick up 2 buffalo chicken pies, an XXL ultimate pepperoni, a medium wisconsin 6 cheese (wanted to try it), a Philly steak and cheese sub, 2 orders of garlic parmesean wings, 6 packs of garlic sauce, before coming back to play some Elden Ring

The water is still draining off.
The homes are still under water.
No running clean drinking water.
No electric or clean clothes or cars.

It will take 6 months to restore services and pay claims.
6 years to repair infrastructure 12 years to rebuild houses.

The problem is being completely compounded by hot weather
Sewage, oil, gasoline and chemicals in the ground water.
Alge blooms will explode killing more wildlife. Stench everywhere.
