A coal field is nearby.

Places like that will thrive after Armageddon.

Form a syndicate of people and move here fast. Lots of people died over Covid, many will never work again because of the vax. Big job shortage here right now. Skilled and unskilled.

The people there are still good. The Cops are not even armed as standard. Only if offenders are violent do they even get the guns out of the car.

Good growing areas with a lot of natural caves and geothermal activity around the country.

There should just be a natural order of things where people follow a passion not for the amount of money they can have from it but for what makes them happy.

You shouldn't WANT to incentivize doctors just because of money itself. There are likely many doctors, for example, who just got into for the money.

That's unlikely to make a top caliber doctor to begin with. Some people just want to be doctors, and those are more likely the ones with the talent.

That expands and branches into lots of things. When you add something in front of the passion - such as money - you then get masses and masses of people who are following that as their primary goal above their passions, gifts & talents.

It's not a natural order of how things should be. When you think of ways around this to return it - you end up with concerns of socialism and then communism.

But, it might not have to be that way. It would require a completely different type of mindset. A real 'reset'.

The problem is kinda therein - people collectively have to be in that mindset - you can't really force it and it's only ever idealized in science-fiction of how it would even look - (like in other worlds on Star Trek or Stargate where the other societies seem to maintain a harmonious usage between tech levels & nature as well as each fulfilling a role that they are passionate and truly gifted at)
