Since being named special counsel in October 2020, John Durham has investigated or indicted several unscrupulous anti-Trump informants. But he has spared the FBI agents who handled them, raising suspicions he's letting investigators off the hook in his waning investigation of misconduct in the Russiagate probe.

In recent court filings, Durham has portrayed the G-men as naive recipients of bad information, tricked into opening improper investigations targeting Donald Trump and obtaining invalid warrants to spy on one of his advisers.

But as the cases against the informants have gone to trial, defense lawyers have revealed evidence that cuts against that narrative. FBI investigators look less like guileless victims and more like willing partners in the fraudulent schemes Durham has brought to light.

Notwithstanding his reputation as a tough, intrepid prosecutor, Durham has made excuses for the misconduct of FBI agents, providing them a ready-made defense against any possible future prosecution, according to legal experts.

"Durham was supposed to clean up the FBI cesspool, but it doesn't look like he's going to be doing that," said Paul Kamenar, counsel to the National Legal and Policy Center, a Washington watchdog group. "He started with a bang and is ending with a whimper."

In the latest example, critics point to a flurry of pretrial motions in Durham's case against former FBI informant Igor Danchenko, the primary source for the false claims regarding Trump and Russia advanced by the opposition research paid for by Hillary Clinton's campaign known as the Steele dossier.

Next month, Danchenko faces charges he lied to FBI investigators multiple times about the sourcing of the information in the dossier, which the bureau used to secure wiretap warrants to spy on a former Trump campaign adviser. Relying on Danchenko's reporting, the FBI claimed that the adviser, Carter Page, was a Russian agent at the center of "a well-developed conspiracy of cooperation" between Trump and the Kremlin to steal the 2016 presidential election….

Worth the read. Hopefully, enough will read this and at least send it to everyone they know (particularly those that still swallow the bullshit narratives). And maybe to their Congress person, state reps, and/or anyone else that might have some influence to begin changing this fucked up paradigm. If anything, it puts them on notice that we are aware.

The leftards showed us that it doesn’t take very many people to effect the change we want. We just have to be as vocal as they are, and realize that what we might “lose” by doing so is NOTHING compared to what we all lose by not. When enough figure this out, we effect change.

Simply focus on our local sphere, and the political arena in which we live. The rest will follow when this happens. I’ve done it in my “sphere” most of my adult life (with some success) and WE within my state did it when the leftards attempted to subvert us many years ago (with great success). This is why we will likely be safer than others when they unleash their end game, but everyone in every state of the union needs to do the same.

Time to form up and push back. Or don’t, and prepare to wish you had as you and your loved ones fall down under the boots of these evil fucks.

Even more importantly, if you are a parent or loved one of a federal agent, judge DA or politician, push them too and then stand behind them if/when they finally decide to do the right thing. There are many ways to turn this tide without a war, but I fear that we will have no choice if we continue to sit on our asses instead - you included. Might be too late already, but we have to try.

What informants ? Name one case. He has only indicted two individuals, one of them an FBI agent and the guy was acquitted. The article lacks any credibility since it failed to name a single case involving informants indicted and prosecuted by Durham. It would definitely be known to us as he is a Special Prosecutor and is not working any other cases other than the broad investigation he was assigned. Reporters has staked out his office and the Courts Clerks office waiting for ANY paperwork filed. And they report on it. Nothing on ANY indictments of ANY informants and any prosecutions will have to be filed with the clerk. Your source is garbage.

Spot on. Most are simply keyboard warriors, though. Takes too much energy for them to rise from the couch while excusing their lack of action with 'someone else will do it'.

Agreed. And everyone’s fault for continuing to fall for it. That said, the only people we ca at least have some influence over, those we can actually hold to account, are those in front of us. Forget about Trump, forget about the theater. In fact, turn it the fuck off and attend your local city council or school board meeting instead. Go meet your governor if you can. Get to know your sheriff, your local judges that you help put in office, etc. Those are the people we need to focus on, because they’re the only ones that’ll help save our asses when shit goes (far enough) south.

As many of the posters below this one have commented, the disillusionment is strong. Nobody believes that anything will happen (at the federal level) due to the pervasive and thorough corruption therein. Hence my post and the thread. In short, fuck the fed. They’re baked until the brave among them finally stand - and I still have hope that’ll happen. But not yet.

For us (that are disillusioned), We must again begin to make politics personal (as sickening as that may be). We have no choice now.

Even if someone is f’d in the head, all but the thoroughly insane absolutely recognize those around them - particularly if more than one gets in their face and tells them (repeatedly) to get their shit together. If more than 10 or so do it, they do the right thing even if they otherwise wouldn’t. What most on our side of the fence haven’t realized quite yet, their psycho-bullshit cuts both ways and most on their side are more susceptible to it than we are. But only if they get to experience the displeasure of their constituents front and center. At every turn. In the grocery, at the school pickup line, in the restaurant, at their office. Everywhere they go.

Do this and they either quit or crawl back under their political rock not to be heard or seen from again. At that point, we get it back.

I realize that. Many ways to get someone to “follow the program.”

At a certain point, however, the program must end. I suspect that time is approaching rapidly. Many times throughout history, all it takes is one person or one small event to spark the change that needs to happen. The kind of change we all know in our hearts is good and true - and necessary above all. This country is filled with those sparks (as is the world, but I think more so in the US than anywhere else).

We haven’t seen many of them yet (where they count), but we will.
