I think, at minimum the person, who returned to the US from USSR under the name of Lee Harvey Oswald, was a part of the team, tasked to eliminate Kennedy. I do not know if it was USSR's plan, though. Could've been done on "joined ticket". Current state of affairs: "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
