good morning, what's the odds of this slowing down and then getting to cat 2 status?
JAZZZ50

2020 The SHTF literally as TP ran out.

we went from being over the target, to actually being the target. too close to the truth.

I don't think it will do that. I think it will stay at 1 and quickly downgrad to TS when it hits land.

Everything looks copesthetic on our end unfortunately we are having trees come down not due to the wind but the rain, living in a swamp it happens making sure we don't get hit by a Widowmaker, did help the sheriff last night direct traffic took 25min to get another unit out so I can watch the game last night,

Going to my buddies bar downtown Beaufort, see how it's looking

Flash-flood warnings are up and Charleston's about to get rain slammed.

hiding

Long day ahead for coastal Carolina. I suspect considerable beach erosion around Hatteras, out on the barrier islands, as more homes become beach front property.

Storm Surge and Hurricane warnings still up in NE FL.

First brown out and the rain hasn't started.
 Quoting: Craft

I'm on the Georgia coast and it has not rained here at any time. So I guess we are on the "dry" side of the storm.

Getting some pretty stiff gusts for several hours now. The weirdest thing to me is how cool it is. I am surprised with it being about 57 degrees that it could even gain wind strength. First hurricane for me that it's been this cold in September and be watching for a storm.

Yes, I'm on the FL line. I thought it it was extremely odd for it to be 60 degrees with a hurricane on the way.

The most recent storm to affect South Carolina was Hurricane Florence. Florence made landfall at Wrightsville Beach on September 13, 2018.

9.13.2018 - 9.30.2022 = 1478 days

Verse 1478 = 20 | Genesis 49:4 = 53 _ (73) 10 = 1

Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

 Quoting: storm surge 76181204

A=1 - Z=26

Verse Total 1301 | Prime # 212

Verse 1301= 5 | Genesis 43:10 = 53 _ (58) 13 = 4

For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.

Charleston will escape the storm surge, because they are on the side of the hurricane
where the wind is pushing the water away from the coast.

There's a component of both.

There are parts of the Caribbean Sea that are warm hundreds of feet down (primarily the western end). The one place in the Atlantic basin like that.

That means that as the tropical storm moves over that water it doesn't pull cooler water up, rather it feeds the positive cycle and why this region sees so many rapid intensifications. That's not a coincidence.

The electrical component would be in play everywhere in the Atlantic basin.

Not if it hits at a cat 1 or less. And it's looking like hitting between MB and Charleston.

I've been to the beaches just after smaller hurricanes have hit and it never was bad. Just a lot of debris from trees and such. But good for finding shells.

 Quoting: 10001110101

Speaking of shelling. There's an ancient Shell Mound near Cedar Key FL that seems resistant to tropical storms. The last Ice Age or any number of ones before that formed a U-shaped sand dune that aligns to Solstice.

What's peculiar about that is solstice sun moves along the horizon over the wobble period of our planet - but is aligned right now to that Shell Mound. Interesting!!

And fascinating how it's still intact - although it sits 20-some feet above current sea level.
