Tsunamis are caused by earthquakes or nuke blasts that move a LOT of water VERY FAST in high volumn, creating a Wall of water. This missing water was sucked up under(accumulated under) the storm by very low pressure in the storm. It will return moderately as the pressure increases. There should be nothing to fear unless you are in your waders a mile out.
