When Louisiana was wrecked from Katrina it was bad. But not nearly as bad as Mississippi.

But Mississippi had a government that was prepared before it hit and jumped into action immediately.

These major storms are State issues and shouldn't require Federal oversight. FEMA will show up as needed but are not in charge.

Harder hit Mississippi handles their shit and yes they received tons of help and volunteers too, but they had a plan a good leadership.
