Anonymous Coward User ID: 80992179 United States 09/29/2022 09:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It should be noted that another 1300+ people are reported to have died from Covid yesterday with 100,000 new cases. This situation puts Covid-19's destruction in perspective. It's an invisible killer though with very little ostensible evidence to actually represent its lethality. Everything has been behind closed doors besides when Delta emerged in India (Open cremations). This isn't the same world anymore, that's for sure. We're still not even sure who's dead and who's alive, and now even more unsure. Having the right idea might come with a price, since nobody else did. Having a functional brain isn't inherent in a place this brutal. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 10285897 United States 09/29/2022 09:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My sister is pretty tied into the Ft. Myers area with her business. She has some friends in the local fire department that it's REALLY bad.. there were bodies and cars with bodies in them floating down the streets from drowning. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10285897 at one point there was reports of people stuck on the 2nd floor of their home in waste deep water in fort myers with no rescue available.. I think we find a lot more than "hundreds" |

Very said for all those that needlessly passed......or, because its Florida, could many have been given bunk info on purpose??? |

User ID: 81071993 Nicaragua 09/29/2022 09:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Florida jobs pay shit and the costs of leaving for storms and then trying to return is a gamble most cannot afford. Then add in the scumbag insurance adjusters and companies that prey upon the survivors and it's definitely something most don't want to experience. Exactly. It is expensive to take shelter, especially if one has animals. The track for this was to hit Tampa. It changed 24 (?) hours before the hurricane hit. Many people didn't have time to leave or have a place to go. I bet half the trolls blaming the dead for their misfortune were the "it's a nothing burger" paid shills, the same ones posting "I live in Fort Meyers and this is all fake news - just a storm" shit on GP and GLP. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83952533 United States 09/29/2022 09:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In 2004, I had just moved to Pensacola and knew nothing about Hurricanes.. I had seen them weaken toward land and turn. So I expected Hurricane Ivan to do the same.. as I kept working on the house. All my neighbors were leaving.. and I occasionally watched the news on TV. Finally, I realized it was not weakening.. or turning away. I packed up and fortunately had extra gas, as many gas stations were empty. I was the last person out of my neighborhood to leave. Driving just North of Pensacola while listening to the radio, they announced trees were falling on the same road I was on.. behind me. Oh.. I had not considered getting trapped by down trees. As there were hardly any other cars on the road. I speed up to gain some distance. Returning about 10 days later, I saw 3 cars that had been trapped by the trees and every window was blown out. My motto now is.. 10 days before a hurricane Cat 3 or above.. stock up on gas.. every few days.. start packing.. And Evacuate Early.. Don't be the last one out. |

A hurricane doesn't exist 10 days in advance most often, and most certainly don't know where it's going or even if it will be a storm let alone what category it would be. User ID: 81071993 Nicaragua 09/29/2022 09:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hurricane Andrew killed 65 people......... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80992179 'Hundreds' is an extreme amount for a random storm, as an initial casualty projection. What are we really talking? and why? Nope. Read this. There was a massive cover up of how many died by Andrew. [link to www.bibliotecapleyades.net (secure)] That is true. I was there with a friend and fireman who helped clean up. He said the number of fatalities were grossly under reported.. The same thing happened with Charley. Massive deaths in Port Charlotte that were never reported. If one looks closely at many of the Fort Meyers video posted yesterday, they can see bodies floating away with debris. My heart goes out to all of those affected and the first responders and utility workers who are going to witness the aftermath today. |

They got the track wrong, they didn't evacuate the correct areas. Now go get your booster and fucking die you worthless addition to the planet. Yeah. MSM is failing. Seems intentional. This. The libtard media was wrong. Again. They were too busy circle jerking about how this storm was supposed to destroy the Tampa area. And don't forget how the master libtard himself, Joe Biden, reached out to the nayors of St Pete, Clearwater and Tampa hours before the storm hit. Looks like the steering committee got their target wrong. |

How did they get it wrong? Because the hurricane lied to them and then double crossed them... I mean really...what a stupid fucking question... Its a god damn hurricane and unpredicable... But hey MSM and don lemmon got it right...its climate change...and they are milking it while people die. LOL...fucking stupid cunts. No, because these manufactured things are on screens like playing a game, being directed by humans with game controllers, very similar comparison. Same with the fires. They were the ones who hyped up storms past few years that turned out to be nothing burgers. boy who cried wolf too many times, so when the real one came many people didn't take it seriously. plus fort meyer people were told up until 24 hours before strike that tampa, not fort meyer, would be hit. too late really by then to get out so they hunkered down (and died). |

User ID: 81230252 United States 09/29/2022 09:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i flipped to CNN during don lemon standing out in the rain last night and thats literally all they were talking about was "climate change caused this". then they compared that old 2004 hurricane size to this one, yet fail to mention how MASSIVE all the new radar technology seems to make ANY storm look now due to being able to detect more rain (like the green colors are BARELY showers now, used to be heavy rain) i know every thunderstorm that rolls through here looks like a damn hurricane now on the radar app on my phone even if it isn't shit. but they love the scary colors to put fear in to people. not that this storm wasn't awful. Quoting: Deplorable Zenobia It was beyond him as to why his employer and other dealerships (and fleets) just sit in lots when they could've used them to move the poor and homeless. But that's a story for another day. And yeah, the storm track jogging off projected path and/or stalling slightly makes a HUGE difference. Prayers up for all affected. All the school buses just sitting there that could have been used as well. Instead, they evacuated no one, and stayed parked in the lot where they were flooded and destroyed. Anonymous Coward User ID: 27365332 United States 09/29/2022 09:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I blame the media, especially Weather Channel. They’ve overhyped these storms so much in the past, no one believes that they’re going to be as rough as they claim. In the past, I’ve seen Jim Cantori with his oversized rain suit flapping in the wind, acting as if he can’t stand, and people walk into camera shit normally. I’m sure some have evacuated in the past and the overhyped storm didn’t do anything, so this contributed to them staying. |
