Tampa bay has been completely sucked out? WTH???

This has happened before in Tampa Bay. Just a few years ago.

Happens every hurricane in the gulf. Combination of low tide and the storm sucking the water. Last time it happened was for Irma.

They said the wind was so strong it was blowing it away from shore, so empty bay, for the moment.

It was the Russians sucking away the water!

It's on the backside of the hurricane, where the winds are offshore.

Yep. My friend lives there and it happened a few years ago. Fortunately she is smart and she has come home to Eastern NC until this is all over. The last time this happened, a whole ass tsunami came back and destroyed her house.

I feel so bad for her and husband they have 2 small children.

I know this is not a "dream tard" forum - but SO MANY of my friends and family have been "coming out" to me regarding dangerous RED tsunami dreams.

(I get crazy dreams all of the time) // The colors (we are all getting) indicate to me - that whatever this is - it it will hit at Sunrise or Sunset.

the eye won't be going over anywhere near that area or anywhere near tampa

FWIW ... as a coastal dweller ... it's a bad sign but maybe not. I've seen water do all sorts of weird things depending on the tides and the storm and .. I think it mostly depends on the shape and depth of the ocean floor.

Around here it's usually shallow for a long way out (it varies), and you could be standing on a barrier island or in a bay ... and we get the effect like all the water is gone, when it's really low tide and the sand on the bottom has shifted such that it looks extra extra low.

A little ways up the coast there could be lots of water because they lost their bottom and all the water flowed that-a-way.

Whole beaches get shifted around too. I don't know about other oceans from experience, but our Atlantic is powerful AF.

Whenever that old lady would hear the word "Pacific" she would say ... "Pacific! Ha! Who the hell needs a peaceful ocean?!"

While there is a benefit in being able to see your feet in the water ... there's nothing like the churn of the rough ocean. Think of how many tons of sand it moves overnight.

There are beach towns who spend zillions of dollars crafting dunes, and then one storm comes along and deposits all the dunes on another town's beach.

It's really awesome.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought Kamala had visited Tampa.

The entire world is ringing like a bell right now; in addition to this hurricane earthquakes are circling the globe... some of them packing a serious seismic punch.

I'll just toss this out there: these events could very well be the result of the Earth's weakening magnetic field.

Storms cause an uplift(swell) as it makes landfall it brings that swell with it causing flooding.

look on youtube it happens a lot people out there walking around... it ain't like a tsunami it gradually fills back in when the storms pass
