Some would call me a fatalist. I see myself as a realist. I know the human race has to hit rock bottom before it learns what really matters.

Realist, but I think if everyone is brutally honest, they would admit they are all of these occasionally at times as well.

There is no way on God's green earth that 3/4s of people are "realists". 3/4s might be liars, but certainly not realists.

I'm 67 years old and have had several different careers (retired) in distant areas. I think a more truthful assessment of the percentage of realists would be 20%--at best. No doubt some confuse being a sniveling anus caresser with being a realist--it is not the same. Such people seem to be the majority now.

Perhaps 40-50 years ago most were realists than not, but it is a far different world today. Crybabies, suck asses and fake optimists on Prozac are the norm.

Pessimists will be worried about data mining and optimists have no reason to be on this site to begin with and are outside chasing butterflies.
