When I visited a Mason lodge once, I asked many questions just to show my interest, and commented intelligently on what I saw.

The man I was speaking too was an elder of the lodge and he said that if I was interested in joining them, I would have benefits such as jumping the queue if I had to have a procedure done at the hospital, because they had members in the hospital.

I was not suprised because I knew that kind of shit existed, but I never expected a freemason who didn't know me to share that kind of information with me. I guess he thought I was going to join their criminal organisation.

I was with someone else at the time and that person upon hearing what he said to me replied something to the mason that I remember but I won't share here. Let's say it wasn't a compliment.

I remember seeing a new member, he was rather young and wore a white apron. When we saw each other he looked down, as if in shame. I found that weird.

Like i said they tried to make my dad a freemasons many times over the years in the late 70s all the way through the 80s,while he was working in Defence making parts for the country ...
