You are wrong about tampons. There is experience of using a tampon for gunshot wounds. This technique was used during the war in Afghanistan. The soldiers plugged the wounds with tampons and stopped the heavy bleeding. If you use a tampon to survive now, you will use it until you get to the hospital. This saved many lives. And yet no one has died of sepsis.
