His subdivision, which is newer, is built up about 10-12ft higher than the surrounding homes. The water damage and the debris in his home, are from the roof being damaged.He was high enough not to get the surge.

i'm watching WESH 2 on roku....it's an nbc station, but idk out of where. so much loodin an the water doesn't seem to have a place to go.

My friends and extended family
that live in the path are without power but otherwise in good shape.

Very reminiscent of Hurricane Katrina, just not the 30ft storm surge we got then.

My brother said a lot of people got it a lot worse than him. He is in a newer subdivision that was higher than the rest of the community. There is no utilities operational, according to him. He has a generator.
Sorry I don't have any more info, but I only talked to my brother briefly, as he had a lot of cleanup to do. The old oak trees on his property got knocked down. He has to get someone to remove them, but in the meantime, wood, insulation, and other debris has to be picked up. He said the whole area is a mess.

My brother said the winds were 130mph in Englewood. His house is rated to withstand up to 150mph.
