Quoting: Anonimous Coward They suck. I am not being snobby. McDonald's is better. Cracker barrel is fine for when are traveling on the road and you want to stop and have a meal that is not fast food. They get you in and out quickly and it's decent food for a decent price, Recent inflation notwithstanding |

I just went to their website and confirmed. I also know a friend that has no idea what good food is and also eats at that shithole and said they have a full menu like always. I'd never trust anyone who ate there anyways. |

User ID: 71338589 United States 09/26/2022 12:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry to hear about Cracker Barrel, we have very fond memories of the place. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84220733 We did a year of fulltime rving and spent free nights in their parking lots and always got meals there that were great, homey, and good service. One really cold morning after spending the night we bundled up and went into the restaurant for breakfast, we were the first ones there and got to sit by a big roaring fire, it was magical. :) My late MIL loved that place. As did my late grandmother. I agree with the poster who called it iconic American food. Sadly it..like so much about this country is quickly become just a fond memory. Faith in Him. |

However, you can get any mcd breakfast sandwich for $1 until 10/2 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24378958 Yup. Cheap food that they charge too much for. A couple of eggs and some toast and some coffee. So easy and inexpensive to make at home. Or just skip breakfast. Go out for lunch or dinner. Those are meals that count. Get something you wouldn’t make at home. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 84053470 France 09/26/2022 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's going to be a Karen-Gestapo-Liberal winter. BTW, Adolf Hitler (a homosexual into animal rights and socialism) and his government declared that compassion should be the leading trait of Germany and the German people. We all know how so-called compassion from "leftys" along the lines of a Hitler (or Stalin, Mao, Castro, etc, etc, etc) have a way of being anything but compassionate. Although a Biden/Obama/Clinton may not be "leftys" totally similar to Hitler/Stalin/Mao, they're all on the "lefty" side of the spectrum. . |

AC from Georgia User ID: 82689144 United States 09/26/2022 01:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We sometimes eat at a Cracker Barrel on Interstate 16 in Dublin, Georgia. The last two times we stopped, we ended up leaving. They said that the wait (both times) was going to be 30 minutes and the restaurant had plenty of empty tables. I asked about the long wait and the greeters said that they were short-staffed in the kitchen. People aren't showing up for work. Never seen it like this in this particular location. Also, Cracker Barrel is not hiring the same people. We have a new "woke" crowd at our location. In addition, the items in the store have really increased in price. Some of the souvenirs or holiday items have nearly doubled in price. For what we paid the last time that we actually ate there, we could have gone to Longhorn Steakhouse next door. |

As just one example a side of mac and cheese is now so tiny its a joke. I will pay a higher price but when the amount of food I receive gets cut I'm done with the place. We at one time loved Cracker Barrel and would visit about once a month for the last 20 years. During my last visit a few weeks ago the family and I decided then we will not be returning. Its simply no longer worth the money and I was still hungry wanting more food. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83991636 United States 09/26/2022 02:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Took my mom out for breakfast at Cracker Barrel same as last month Quoting: Black Unit The menu has totally changed There are no more breakfast plates for $5-7 like the all meat breakfast or Hershel’s breakfast etc. Now everything is ala cart. You pay for each item. So I ordered the exact same thing as last month My mom did the same Last month total $17 This month, exact same meal $27 It’s going to be a dark winter. I like how you illustrate a point about inflation, and they turn it in a douchey culinary snob-fest. ACs make this place unreadable. |
