Tampa area, have not heard a bird all day, bats acting weird.... hurricane? | |

Quoting: rob2 i havent heard this bird before so idk what kind it was. it was an awful cry, like a warning, all day long. it made me wonder if he was there to spread the word. In late 2019 there was a weird bird crying all night that I had never heard before, really different. I felt it was an omen, I just knew something bad would happen, and then all the COVID stuff happened. The bird seemed to stop after a while, but then came back at night, felt like it was still an omen, then my mom suddenly got sick and passed away :( I don't think I've heard that weird bird since my mom passed, so I truly feel that was an omen of sorts. Did it sound like this: No, a lot lower pitch. My son said they were little brown birds, but they sounded really big and upset. |

I did get out and drive around and saw the white ones standing in grass and a very small group flying, but that's about it. Haven't heard any chirping or making any noise all day. It does seem like the storm will be going south of us now, but who knows. |
