Not every email is a scam. My electricity was about to be shut off unless I clicked the provided instant pay link right now to make an immediate payment. I did so and it worked. The lights are still on. ohyeah

This is a scam ! They want your banking info to clean your account out ! Don't fall for this ! If you got questions about your banking issues, call the number on your bank statements, don't click on these links in the email !

You know I cant really believe I am reading this sh*t. Dude Dont you know how to stop this stuff? gheese
Why are you posting. Dont open and damn sure dont click any links in mail. If you are worried get new email and do not send mail to anybody that checks mail on a phone. Phones get hacked all the time for address lists. This is where these things come from.C'mon man lets call it a day.

I have taken every precaution possible, but these scam mails still come through.I know better than to click on the links, as malware can do some damage. Some people are not as cautious, however. As for my phone, it is a flip phone, no internet access.

Re: Truist Scam Alert !
OP, I have a serious problem.
I opened an account with them when the nice Nigerian prince I've been corresponding with suggested using them.

For ease of the money transfers.

Now knowing my dilemma you should understand why I'm wary.
They told me about people warning them against using their services.

I have a double back braced guarantee.. I don't have a back problem but two are much better than one.

I think.
Two names on the account is secure... Right?
The Prince told me nobody ever stole from him and that's his personal guaranty.

I'm torn hearing this news.

Actually, everything is paperless and by email and text messaging these days.

Anyhow, this was an actual scam that happened a few months ago. The email was sent by some obscure web server, as was the supposed payment link. And I immediately knew it was a scam because ALL of my bills are set up for draft payment. I called the power company to alert them to this scam.

The property tax statements are the only thing that I need that arrives by snail mail. I do get emails and text messages that bill payments will be processed on whatever upcoming day, and a follow up message that auto payment was successful. All I have to do is transfer enough money from my savings into the checking account once a month to cover everything. That takes only minutes to do. And in fact, that won't be necessary anymore because I'm retired now and I set my monthly SS and pension payments up to go straight to checking.

I get nothing else but junk snail mail now. I hate having to manually pay bills every f'n month. It's an unnecessary time consuming task. And it would mean I'd have to walk all the way down my long driveway to check the mail every day. You don't want billing and bank statement info sitting in there for too long, it can contain some rather personal data. Even bank statements arrive via email with a secure link to click, login, and download them.

If it wasn't for the property tax statements, I'd get rid of the snail mail box entirely. Even the mail lady often brings my mail to my back door because she has to deliver an Amazon or order anyhow.

Keeping things convenient, paperless, and less time consuming! That's what technology is for.

Where I live, they send a paper notice in a blue envelope, telling you of the shutoff date.

Re: Truist Scam Alert !
I saw in this live stream (watched a portion of it) and Scammer Paypack briefly mentioned the Truist Scammers. These are data miners to get your account information and link it to your number:

John 8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
8:50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
