One can argue that the Earth element is the beginning of caregiving, and this would especially be the case for Aquarius, as conscious effort exerted in such interest is more often the first effort possible, the other expressions of will to be discerned in nature (for example in natural philosophy) and extrapolated via sensibly reasoned reflection (in metaphysical philosophy) expressing what we typically, or at least often enough, experience as further developments that mirror effortful volition in lending automaticity, intuition, and productive efficiency and capacity to the expression of human will. It ultimately pays to do things well when the laborious effort so precariously involved seems such a huge cost ("sweating it so hard," like in the trump card). This is where faith comes clearly into play in ensuring further developments and progress to be enjoyed with satisfaction, faith in the final result becoming a pretty certain destination, more and more productively attained.

Compared with The Universe, a Leo-assigned trump card, The Star down in Aquarius shows the redirection of energy typical of the fixed astrological signs, and using "Water" as a common symbol for energy-reserve, to be quite gentle in Aquarius. I had a sense in the past that Stoicism mirrored some of the information also revealed in The Secret Tree of Alchemy. I had run across some of it in college, typical of many college students, and I did not make the connection back then but rather developed a sense for this being the case in more recent years as I developed some depth of understanding into the likely origins of the Tree. These posts and similar have provided much of the that to the point I just had to get a book on Stoicism, and the above book citation is the book I found first.

I am now through with the first two introductory chapters that detail much interesting history of ancient philosophy and Stoicism, likely revealing as to sources and methods used in the Abrahamic infiltration of Rome out of Jerusalem and the infiltration of Christianity into Rome (expulsion of philosophers from Rome as a cover), and I am now starting the book-parts (three) that mirror the basic structural elements of Stoicism. This is turning out to be a pivotal read for me, as I have been rather impatient with philosophy books, including ancient philosophy books, in the past.

These posts just might be able to shed some light on what very many missing ancient scripts might have been able to reveal, including those lost from ancient Stoicism (mostly Greek).

The element of Earth is the most youthful of the archetypes, due to the range of ideas commonly categorized there in alchemy (the element of Air might be likened to 'big sis'). For example, Pisces is where the concept of infancy is commonly categorized, and Cancer is where "innocence of soul" is categorized. One of the weaknesses of Earth elemental perspective is that it can be rendered shallow in its perceptions, because relative shallowness is more associated with youthful existence than with older existence. It is relatively safe in the shallows ... or 'safe.'

Organized crime can be initiated simply because an individual finds him or her self advantaged in perspective regarding relative depths of perspective, and deeper perspective can offer leveraged advantages in life, maybe over a reality-issue that can be exploited for profit, thus depth-of-perspective offers its range of temptations, even for those initially well-intended in their reflections and realizations. Reflections and realizations can be kept shallow via criminal intent, and those with some initial advantage here, for what ever reason, might decide to disinform others of more shallow disposition for perceived profit. These practices can take on 'organic chemistry' qualities as organized criminal networking and practice develops and shallow perspective in the public sphere becomes increasingly compulsory and takes on a strangely catalyzed--read Capricorn--momentum towards characterological compulsions maintained population wide. In alchemy terms, Sagittarius naturally becomes the contested ground that organized crime fights people for control over (like real turf), and perception and reality are both ideas that are commonly assigned to Sagittarius.

Mind control is established as a combination of reality control and controls imposed as to thinking and perceiving (thus speaking), and it tends to be imposed according to perceived rank within a system that is militant at first, but then becomes policing later. To engage in mind-control is to engage in organized crime. Mind-control is destructive to human nature via the imposition of neurosis, a base mechanism of social evolution.

There are clear-enough differences between protections put in-place to protect children from organized crime and other potential threats to the quality of their experiences as youths and the mind-control methods used to maintain a child-like shallowness unto old age. This shallowness effectively blocks the practice of deeper forms of reflection, as well as the experience of realizations reflective of the deeper psyche, both of which become effectively and compulsorily taboo in mind-controlled societies. Wide practice of deeper reflection and depth-responsive forms of realization are the only sure protections against the likelihood of the establishment of organized criminal social networking.

Television has played the role of a tool favored for organized criminal use because, in effectively replacing deeper forms of reflective thought with what amounts to trivial forms of entertainment lasting too many hours of the week, people are rendered shallow in their perceptions. Thus people in general become malleable as to perceptions and attitudes much as infants are typically so, only older people have less time to find themselves and initiate their own processes of individuation. In missing out on their own natural rights and freedoms to individuate as individuals, they default control of their lives to intelligence-networked people who maintain enough depth of perception to maintain compulsory control over human reality, and for exclusive profit.

In combining Aquarius initiation with Sagittarius function, we are getting into the consciously deliberate practices that one might describe as prehistoric stoicism. This is where the various arts of temperance are practiced within the grasp of as full a conscious perception as is presently appropriate.

Temperance is basically the art of "mixing the blue with the red" as is fully appropriate to a situation as is sensible in practically immediate terms and reasonable both automatically and in regards mindful focus of ever increasing competence. This allows for a warm disposition that facilitates maximized higher functionality and productivity as is presently appropriate, with full capacity for contextual and strategic discernment present and accounting. This is the real and long-developed basis out of which ancient stoicism most likely manifested.

In Aquarius, one simply applies conscious effort along these lines, hopefully with plenty of assistance from intuition of initiation (Taurus), automaticity of initiation (Leo), and productivity of initiation (Scorpio) augmenting the conscious effort to fullest suitable appropriation. Care is actively initiated in Aquarius, and the other forms of initiation also become more and more caring in their contributions (human intuition is largely already caring of disposition). What is initiated by all of this is of course action that, hopefully, takes on productive function in Sagittarius appropriate to the complexities and changeability of situation.

Situation and perception act as a productively functional unit when "all is going well" (enough at least, one hopes). Stoicism is a Sagittarius orientation amongst the ancient-philosophical spins on reality, thus it is particularly realistic and practical as philosophies go; situation and practice are both Sagittarius analogies. The idea is to develop both endurance and functional competence that not only faces down the harshest realities and survives, but also ultimately contributes to a life well lived and enjoyed.

These practices of situationally appropriate temperance not only facilitate highly functional adaptations to external situations, but also to inner situations that are of a more imaginal nature within perception, thus learning is efficiently facilitated as well, and this all contributes to developing both sensitivity and sensibility in life. This then contributes to the practices of these arts developing mental-functional "inroads" to deeper levels of human experience and understanding, many of which have come to be described as metaphysical knowledge, thus constituting metaphysics. This later form of understanding might be thought of as the "crossroads" orientation taken on by philosophers such as Plato - more abstract, definitional, and Virgo much of the time, and to a "basic geometry" degree of systematic development.

Getting back to Sagittarius: Acceptance is a heavily Sagittarius concept, even given the vaginal emphasis assigned to this astrological sign. Psychologically speaking, acceptance becomes the art of simply accepting one's own thoughts and emotions if for no other reason than to keep immediate control over one's obvious and potentially unethical behavior. Not accepting either thoughts or emotions tends to produce--Sagittarius is highly productive and organically so--repression, which acts as the foot-in-the-door for becoming both neurotic and, therefore, insensitive. Acceptance is a skill one develops towards becoming a fully and responsibly functional adult and talentedly so; childhood, adolescence, and even early adulthood tend to constitute potentially dangerous times of personal development for many due simply to a lack of considered experience in life, including psychic experience.

Consideration is one form that reasoning takes in the perception, where a multitude of attentional captures and their contextual determinants undergo reasoned consideration. Much of the mental activity involved in these processes occurs unconsciously and automatically, but the productivity of it, including the initiation of the productivity of it, is easily perceived because becoming consciously aware of what is important or otherwise significant in life enhances survival and thriving, thus humans evolved as consciously and preconsciously considerate creatures of great sophistication, especially regarding consciously willful mental function - in regards mindfulness.

Unfortunately, not all that is duly considered, even when evolution dictates, is fully in agreement with what humans have come to describe as good. Our survival inclinations can undergo unethical undermining and exploitation at the hands of others or even the self. This is where organized crime becomes an ever-increasingly sophisticated cancer on human society, ever desirous of decreasing human sensitivity to levels that their militaristic social organizations prefer as fully profitable, thus humans have been inclined to fight militaristic fire with their own preferred brands of militaristic fire, but such so far have been unsuccessful in reducing significantly organized crime networking and syndication (referred to a "The Mob" for a number of reasons); including when humans have lived under Communist rule, though, under Communism, organized crime was so fully expressed via government that it effectively disappeared from majority-prevalent public notice, highly insensitive notice, experiencing torturous lifestyles where it was well understood by many that "cheap analgesia" was available despite the heavy suppression of the illicit drug trades - repression. Repression and neurosis increased under rules of strict confidentiality (social silence).

Increasing sensitivity amongst such a tortured public by-default entails the ample social-scale application of mass-psychological intervention that frees up the repressed and suffering human populations while promoting increased self-awareness and mindfulness in general. Human freedom demands fully and naturally appropriate expression of human nature, an ever-developing and still evolving human nature expressive of core good of genuine human conscience. Conscience is often of crucial signal value in life lived towards good purposes.

Human conscience often makes itself obvious through the experience of human emotion, a concept assigned to Libra in prehistoric alchemy; it often reveals itself as "the quiet voice." The "voiced" aspect of conscience thus entails a mild expression of reasoning already begun within perceptive range, thus it is productive and with organically developing traits, often-enough expressed initially in such mild a fashion as to go unnoticed or even undergo complete repression from conscious awareness. This is especially the case if perception is kept continually distracted with what is actively promoted as entertainment industry, mostly of Mob-related production anyway (the published failure of La Cosa Nostra to infiltrate Hollywood to the point of controlling it is itself a network-calculated distraction from the fact of larger Mob association and control taking place in Hollywood).

Therefore, in becoming sensitive, one learns--with brain-changes reflecting as much over time--increased levels of acceptance regarding one's emotions and thoughts. This increases mindfulness in general and such naturally facilitates due consideration of emotions and thoughts - immediately due and otherwise to include quality time spent in depth-psychological reflection. Emotions, especially the subtler expressions of them, are considered to be of a signaling nature in psychology for reasons just described. One can, over time, develop conscious inroads of due consideration to the point of becoming highly reflective in one's spare time, rather than suffering a constant need for distraction and related "entertainments" of a nature stimulating of strong emotions and thoughts of at best little genuine value in living life effectively.

Further on the subject of due consideration. Due consideration of thinking and emotions are important because thoughts and emotions are directly responsive to situational cues that the environment typically signals us with. The more obvious dangers of course involve semi-covert signals to the effect one might suffer violent attack, but subtler cues operant in the environment can also signal us to the effect that socially cancerous processes are at work around us that need due consideration in the interest of protecting the public from, for example, the Mob; or maybe people in general are becoming tyrannous in a mob sense all on their own and the Mob is already working to gain exploitative control of such.

Sagittarius symbolizes both perception and the situation at once for this important reason - because "nature versus nurture" constitute one continuum of effective reality reflected upon consciously via one's mind. Nature nurtures us body and soul, and humans have developed powerful means for nurturing or even destroying the world in which we all must live together. These later ideas are not only of paramount importance in our time for immediately obvious reasons, but they are also indicative of evolutionary processes still at work on the human species, and powerful sophistication on the part of a humanity at war with itself can unleash Armageddon scale destruction of human evolutionary scale, where death and reproduction alter the human race into forms too largely unrecognizable to present human society to (presently at least) consider tolerable.

An inclination to ignore one's own emotions and thoughts tends to reflect an inclination to ignore situational reality - "hard reality." This fact of life is easily enough exploited for profit by those of exclusively "connected" disposition, thus the condition of ignorance is actively and covertly promoted such that the condition is propagated unbeknownst the majority of people.

For example, take the ancient Roman Colosseum. Who really profits from the building on such an architectural wonder dedicated to such an insensitivity-building blood-sport as gladiatorial combat, formerly a cultically motivated ethical compromise used only for elite funerary rites, but which grew in popularity for reasons that my own considerations of the situation have concluded involved systematic cultural infiltration of covert nature into ancient Rome from outside the Empire, covert significantly due to the expulsion of the philosophers from Rome - people disciplined in the arts of consideration.

What inspires emergency rule? Initially anyway? Manipulations of significant events that most at least hear about, thus the population might find itself undergoing cultural manipulation that builds to obvious scale over time; to, at some point, such things post-rise-of-Claudius entail the suffering of heavy monetary taxation, and obviously corrupt leaders are replaced violently by "good leaders" behind which greater degrees of systematic infiltration can be conducted, still largely unnoticed. Slavery can then become a means of systematic infiltration involving covert forms of bribes, but what means to execute such an operation? The sacrificing of a reputedly rich temple so that a darker form of 'temple' can be built elsewhere, where the larger cultural infiltration is to take place: The Colosseum!

Though, in my opinion, Caligula attempted to mock gladiatorial combat by making it more dangerous at "dangerous whim," this after Tiberius's non-attendance of such events failed to sway the Roman population, the blood-sport was effectively promoted and propagated via the very business-infrastructure of the empire itself. What kind of largely covert networking was involved in this? Due consideration answers such a question in time enough.

How to Become a Sensitive

The idea of thinking and emotions directly reflecting situational reality can be extended into the realm of depth psychology once it is realized that the less immediately obvious aspects of situational reality find reflection on the part of the mind by thinking and emotions of a deeper disposition, normally arrived at via quality time spent reflecting on reality during the safer times spent in a more relaxed environment typical of home or in institutions of learning, both Cancer analogies where care of self and others comes naturally. Reflection is one form that care natural takes.

As stated before, the consciously effortful will, in Aquarius, is where caretaking can begin any time one wants or needs; care is its own form of compensation for the suffering of life, but not as much in Aquarius as in Cancer, and Cancer (wealth of soul and life) can be cut off by covertly applied means already described. Cancer demands that significant-enough momentum in caring, to the point love channels through the care, takes place before compensation is experienced (love is true but happens on its own). So, what then is a method of caring in which one can engage regardless of how isolated in life one might find oneself?

In the conscious practice of reflection, a form of caring, one spends time imagining and considering the events of both recent times and times understood on a historical level. What one is looking for in these practices consists of realizations that at least likely ground with experienced reality in the hard, hard world. These tend to occur in their own time, sometimes with rather urgent emotions attached and sometimes in more subtle forms of realization that can be strengthened through appropriate consideration, for example when considering knowledge associated with remote memories not yet materializing in the imagination in episodic form; sometimes, "you just know" something which can eventually turn out to be of importance in life (subtle emotions typically come into play here too). Sometimes outrageous things have happened to people that they have repressed completely from routine memory, and this kind of knowing is what is realized first, but deeper thinking can still reveal much in the mean time.

The important thing to realize here is that even remote memories of significance influence behavior, and past behaviors can be used to further develop the reflective process unfolding in its own time. This is where things become interestingly depth psychological. One forms a relationship with the unconscious mind though consciously thoughtful reflection. One learns to appreciate more keenly thoughts that more and more often grab your attention, though one also learns to maintain focus on real world issues as they arise, for example when driving a car one stays focused on that reality for safety's sake, not becoming too distracted by the thoughts of the inner reality such that one is not actively paying due attention to the road. The later is an important relationship one builds with the mind too, of social contract related consequence.

Now that we have discussed Sagittarius as the center of our clock model for human perception and conscious locus, as well as Aquarius in the eight o'clock position, Capricorn in the four o'clock position, Pisces in the six o'clock position, and Libra in the two o'clock position, we can focus our attention on Scorpio in the ten o'clock position prior to contemplating Virgo up in the twelve o'clock, noon or midnight, position.

Scorpio presents some difficulty in the process of becoming sensitive, at the very least along "just sayin'" lines of potential Strife ("strife" largely synonymous with criminality, which effectively infects civilized people and their civilizations, and systematically so in the form of organized crime and its war-infiltrations). Focusing attention on the Scorpio issues are involved in that " ever an issue" of developing sensitivity, and ultimately sensibility, which entails becoming aware of mental, emotional, and behavioral productions as close to their beginnings as possible. Such represents an initial phase in developing mastery (Virgo) over obvious behavior as well as insight into the more elemental aspects of reality, realities, and metaphysics (top half of the Tree).

Scorpio symbolizes a level of initiation, or will, that is productive in nature and also is immediately accessible to conscious perception. Thus, we find ourselves challenged in developing a sensitivity as to when mental productions, such as streams of consciousness and related reflections ensue and then typically grab our attention as though arriving from maybe somewhere or maybe starting up as fresh conscious streams of thought and maybe obvious behavior. Behaviors, obvious or otherwise, can also undergo such immediate scrutiny.

Why such quick scrutiny? The idea is to simply "practice, practice, practice" appropriate thought and behavior on some level that is not compulsive in ultimate form and fashion, but which preferably manifests what is known as "core motivation" of useful scope; in a compulsive world though, compulsion ever builds (ever habituates). Therefore, we must also practice acceptance of both present self and present circumstance, efficiently prior to thinking in terms of affecting what we consider--hopefully accurately--to be appropriate modifications of both self (behavior, for example) and circumstance (an alarming unfolding of events, for example). Practice makes perfect via improved efficiency and, also, safety: "Safety first."

Once safety and efficient appropriation are established on genuinely sociable and ethical grounds, one can focus then on deeper considerations that are more involved regarding reflective thought (might be adding or reestablishing a definition to or of the word appropriation here: "appropriate," as in genuinely so; "grounds" in alchemical terms also regarding perception and reality at once as Sagittarius in aspect; The Moon says, "Make Sagittarius central."). This is where considerations turn from efficient assessment towards contemplation of significant profundity (pro-fund-ity, i.e. towars value). One might even find oneself accused of "thinking to deeply into it."

How to Become a Sensitive

This whole idea of attentionally capturing thought, emotion, and behavior as close to its beginning as is usefully possible--as close to its initiation or "application of productive force," in the case of 'Deathly' Scorpio--attunes oneself to the idea of becoming productively metacognitive or capable. Metacognition involves thinking about thinking, not only to a degree that illuminates as to one's own thinking, but also on a level known to psychologists as theory of mind capable. The latter reflects a capacity for understanding the thought-inclination's of others based on one's own capacity for understanding one's own inclinations in this regard. We typically begin developing a capacity for metacognition and theory of mind during infancy.

Metacognition and theory of mind effectively grease the wheels of communication between individuals and in regards communicating to groups of people. For example, the mere pointing of a finger at an event understood as significant to a group or to another is often sufficient to "get a point across" to this "someone else." This kind of finger-pointing behavior also happens to be a behavioral landmark for establishing theory of mind capability during infancy.

From all of this, we first establish survival skills such as accurately discerning the likely behavior of other individuals and peoples. Thinking about thinking and thinking about what others typically think, or are presently thinking, also assists us in not only living long enough to become wise, but also in contemplating the nature of thought itself as reflecting the way reality itself is organized. Such deep considerations reach into both natural perspectives and perspectives which tend to default as "metaphysical" in scope, thus thy are "mysterious," as both conscious perception and science are challenged by such understandings. Such metaphysical concepts are difficult to fully accept or even just to accurately contemplate in terms other than the more abstract.

Again, we come back to acceptance as a central act of conscious consideration in these Stoic practices. Acceptance, efficiently--thus automatically, as in established in automaticity--conducted in terms of mentation, emotion, and behavior forms the crucial element in avoiding compulsion and its repression-based characterological underpinnings: compulsiveness. Repressed ideas are ideas that were not accepted and which were suppressed from conscious attentional capture, thus one has conditioned oneself to become insensitive to the very ideas themselves - and related situations emotions and behaviors; such ideas do not disappear simply because they were repressed. Such ideas will associate themselves with conscious awareness in response to situational cues which must also be ignored with a consistency conducive of repression, thus the senses are effectively obliviated from consciousness over time. One gains a new "plank in the eye" in time, practicing ignorance, a dark art.

Automaticity is the end-state of habituation, thus suppression, and its resultant repression, can become inhibition of automatic, thus unconscious, scope (lost to that lion - Leo, who is very strong in maintaining it unto satisfactory, or seemingly so, grace). This forms the base mechanism around which compulsiveness and related 'civil' compulsion are built. Repressed characters and personalities manifest the symptomatology typical of neurosis, a condition conducive of insensitivity, or else hypersensitivity when sensitivities are amplified to a degree unproductive of healthy perception; one can become paranoid and delusional, to a hysterical degree further to be repressed or else indulged.

How to Become a Sensitive

Inhibition is one issue that non-psychologists can benefit from acquiring an understanding of in some technical detail. Many inhibitions have become brain mechanisms through evolution, but others constitute the results of habituation that have consolidated into automatic behaviors that, due to their automaticity, are both strongly efficient and unconsciously initiated. Of course, any obviously conducted behavior or consciously accessed thinking can undergo discernment, metacognitively and otherwise; this typically happens after the consciously accessed thought or obvious behavior has already been initiated via unconsciously executed automaticity; thus, discerning along such just described as early as possible is typically to one's advantage. This kind of discernment can undergo habituation and become automatic too, so it makes sense to practice such discernment competently during the entire process of any habituation involved, so that it does not interfere with other productively habituated or evolved behaviors, for example fight-or-flight responses immediately deemed necessary for survival.

Inhibitions are efficient compared with habituations not yet fully automatic in nature; habituation is semi-consciously engaged in, more and more unconsciously so as automaticity takes efficient and strong hold of the process ("practice makes perfect" this way). Repression is one example of how one becomes inhibited in life via neurosis. One begins to repress emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and situational perceptions deemed intolerable due to their threatening nature. This process typically takes place during youth prior to around age five for most people. Repression can occur at any time during life, but neurosis is most often established in early youth as just described.

Early in youth, typically beginning in early infancy, intolerable emotions and related thoughts, behaviors, and situations are suppressed from conscious awareness via the whole-body tensing of the musculature. This tensing of the musculature becomes habitual in time practiced, inducing an analgesic effect that blocks painful sensations from experience, pain that threatens the mental stability and integrity of the developing infant. This initially consciously conducted process not only habituates the muscular armoring and its analgesia, but also habituates related forms of anesthesia and amnesia, blocking out painful perceptions of emotions, thoughts, behaviors, memories, and situational cues that have become threatening to the young organism. This becomes in time automatic and unconscious.

This process comes to form a characterological kind of inhibition known as neurosis that allows for a kind of makeshift mental, emotional, perceptual, and situational stability and integrity of personality that is both experientially tolerable and allowing of survival under the circumstances that helped produce the condition. If anything changes though, this stability might find itself challenged or even threatened, and dangerous behavior might result (the movie titled Falling Down expands on this idea, in typical Hollywood fashion).

Characterology is the more abstract and structural underpinning of personality. Bad news stories shape perceptions regardless.

Neurotic people are fine with bad news stories that humor their preferred brand of delusion (usually political ... because 'threatening stuff out there'). Delusion is at least missing needed perceptions.

This morning I woke up with my old ability to write in cursive pretty fully intact, after about a week of exploring cursive writing styles, on the internet and in the repetitive practicing of some of what I found on the internet. I discovered this while out at lunch studying a textbook, and I began to write my notes in cursive instead of the normal block letters that I had habituated written-form-wise since the early nineties when I destroyed my writing while working as a personnel administration specialist at a U.S. Army battalion S-1.

I had not spontaneously written in cursive for about three decades, thus I forgot how to write some of it. It was refreshing to just crank out some cursive (so quick to write), so I just went with it for a few pages of notes. I made some interesting discoveries while evaluating my writing in this manner, discoveries that are pertinent to these posts on this subject of sensitivity.

I was a boring student, and must still be a boring student. I found myself putting on the shoes of a hypothetical teacher having to read and grade my writing. Initially it was attitude which seemed to express itself to me through this looking-glass back through time to my formative years, the page in front of me that looked so strangely familiar and even expressive of a handwriting style seemingly just beginning to develop. Attitudes habituate, and one must not only look to the prevailing environments of youth which produced them, but also to the individual maybe consciously attempting to develop within those environments. The compartmentalization that becomes evident in an individual life relies upon the situational cues one finds operating from prevalent environment to prevalent environment in one's life. Looking at my older style of handwriting acted as a door of perception for me that allowed some access to the prevailing school schema largely prevalent during my upbringing moving from state to state in the later part of the twentieth century, as well as to my prevailing responses to these environments which I repressed ... largely authoritarian teaching and learning taking place.

The reason I concluded that I must have been a boring student is because it became evident to me that my handwriting developed over long practice-time into something that basically just got me by in school without attracting any negative attention to myself; this coincided with making grades of a similar nature. The writing was obviously readable, but only just so, as it was clear that I was more concerned with writing things down in a hurry to get outside or to the television. I was amazed however, that the letters were more difficult to discern as specific letters when written outside the context of making a readable document, but the documents must have been easily enough read but not necessarily pleasant to read. My versions of the common cursive of the time relied a bit more on the words and sentences for their readability, the normally familiar combination of letters helping things out, having been abstracted to the point of "none of these unnecessary niceties" originally designed into the script to make it even better to read efficiently. B's, h's, and d's were more similar to each other than in the proper script.

As an example, my capital letters technically looked like the proper letters, but with no flare whatsoever, my capital t's for example were topped of with the 'proper' fancy topping with the little curl, but it was simply set on top and written with little regard for pleasant flare, just sitting on top and a bit out of pleasant proportion - smaller than would be nice to read rather than larger and grander. Capital a's touched the top line, but were written in such an understated fashion as to never touch the bottom line, thus looking like they might want to float off the page like a balloon. Nothing fancy, but also nothing interesting going on here.

With the handwriting, I have simply decided to leave it as it is and work on improving its quality via day-to-day mindfulness during the activity of writing by hand, with the intent of making it better, as a means of improving the nature of its presentation. It seems to be the sensible thing to do because I can further study it and the best methods for making things in life better over time though they were not laid down as skills practice-wise using the best practices. The writing then remains true to my past and my present, as an emerging style of personal scope - I hope anyway.

As to the present state of 'scope,' in terms of the definitive generalities of alchemy, the perspective of the Sagittarius aspect of the Secret Tree of Alchemy, we have explored much of the clockwork operant from out of that perspective. We have productively held to perception-based experience and have also discussed issues in terms of Freud's ego construct, which is where perception is most at home in depth-psychology terms and otherwise. It is important to also emphasize how important day-to-day living and the practices engaged in from day to day are in developing healthier forms of character ultimately influential on the development of personality of healthy sophistication.

The day-to-day activities of a person are so important that mind-control intentions of any kind simply cannot ignore the issue with any hope of success to be maintained in the overall effort. Day-to-day living is where both habituation and interconnectivity are built up over time; there are behaviors to establish in reliable terms and there are relationships to build which share in those same terms both experience and related knowledge.

People imposing compulsory mind-control do pay attention to all of these issues, for example in effectively 'breaking the arms' of people attempting to improve their own minds by controlling their own lives and ways of thinking and of behaving on free terms. It is difficult to focus on oneself while also undergoing systematic harassment at the hands of others who have clearly given themselves over to tyranny (the out-of-body vampires, for example, who can normally 'kill' adequate to their interests simply by operating a cell phone near someone - and physically murder later, when control has been more reliably established).

Contemplative reflection is a day-to-day practice that has largely been replaced by an entertainment industry designed to effectively humor people to their eventual deaths. The education system is moving in a similar direction, with more and more political rhetoric added to modern curriculums. Such represents day-to-day activity of diminished value compared with personal and social time spent in reflection that reaches into the depths of human experience and thought.

Auto Suggestion Exercise Update

I have modified my bedtime auto suggestion exercise for more effectiveness. The exercise was published earlier in this thread, so I am going to keep this brief.

Now when a lay down to sleep, I immediately focus on relaxing my entire body, and as quickly as possible, begin focusing attention on an infinite-distant point in my imaginary field, while also imagining the room around me, imagining as much of it that I can remember from laying down as possible without breaking my relaxation.

As I sense myself becoming more sleepy, I begin my auto suggestion affirmation: "Truthful and optimistic thinking provides advantages that are worth desiring." I have changed the finger-counting method associated with these ten affirmation repetitions so that instead of moving my fingers, I now focus on the sensation my fingers are feeling, focusing on one finger at a time and feeling the enhanced sensation of body-energy in at my fingertips, as though the energy sensations in the whole body are felt more intensely in one finger at a time.

This makes it easier to get into borderline sleep while doing the affirmation repetitions to the point that by eight or so repetitions in I lose track of the number of repetitions and can try to remember where I lost track and then start over on that finger. Body movements make this more difficult, so I eliminated that factor and enhanced another factor at the same time.

Some Interesting Influences on Dreams

The bedtime disciplines involving auto-suggestion do seem to have a marked influence on dreaming. The subconscious mind seems to have an interest in involving itself in conducting logic-based dream activities. My dreams seem to involve this more and more as a result of practicing the exercises discussed in this thread.

A recent dream involved typical dream travels where I encountered a number of people that were presented to me as examples of people who had differing degrees of tolerance for what was described as "discipline" based on experiences of this nature they had already experienced during their formative years. A voice described to me individuals who were presented to me as people of increasing levels of tolerance for discipline. For the last example though, the dream field went totally dark, and I woke up. This to me indicates that I ran into some kind of an inner resistance that the dream presented as a darkness or information nullification. The dream might indicate that I have the capacity to illuminate this darkness over time and via "discipline" of some kind.

In another dream I had recently, I ran into a group of lions obviously on the hunt, and one of the lions looked like it was going to charge me. I found myself becoming brave and calm at the same time, and this stopped the lion from attacking and we just looked at each other for a moment while I woke up. I remember this lion in great detail as looking different from African lions, as possibly one of the kinds made extinct by ancient Rome via their stadium games.

Animal Farm

I am presently reading Animal Farm (1946) by George Orwell. Already, reading the 2020 introduction to the 75th Anniversary Trade Paperback Edition, by Tea Obreht, I am getting a good sense for how this fictional work describes how the American system of politics, up to the present day of social evolutionary transformation of it, is shaping up. The U.S. system, and the Western system, of ever-increasingly false democracy have undergone a long transition through the dominance established over these systems via a two-dominant-political-party imposition. In my opinion, this represents the first half of a two-phase system into a modern system of semi-covert totalitarianism that I think George Orwell's 1984 describes, where a single political party has replaced the older two-party systems, and I suspect that Animal Farm largely describes what the initial establishment of this one-party system, a corporate-oligarchic totalitarian system, that our present-day two-party political system of 'democracy' is ever establishing.

What was it that Benjamin the Donkey says in Animal Farm? "Donkeys live a long time," and we have some quite old individuals involved in establishing a one-party system in the United States right now, one who just passed the torch to the youth of the Leftist party, and another one who looks to pass the torch in the near future, passing to someone more youthful and also trained in establishing and maintaining totalitarianism of utterly modern dimension, tailor-made for North America. The introduction to this book initially describes this Animal Farm system as though it never actually materialized at all, making Animal Farm merely an interesting read relating to long-past politics. Later, the introduction turns an about face on that subject; the afterword reintroduces the idea that George Orwell’s dystopian vision of the future never came to pass. I do not think that such fully reflects the case, as it seems to me that this Soviet system went underground for a long while, as it 'fell' and went underground, as a covertly infiltrating militancy, infiltrating Western corporate and government spheres, a Global Soviet Underground fostering sympathy for itself everywhere it can possibly reveal some headstone (pretty much the function of modern media).

The donkey character in the book named Benjamin looks to be an interesting study to take on by himself. I can already tell that Benjamin symbolizes the Hanged Man of tarot, where 'utterly silent' Aries falls, the Hanged Man's head dipped meditatively into Capricorn [fecal stuff], and even illuminatively so (‘woke’ cult), far below Aries in the Secret Tree of Alchemy. Silence is still largely, and phallically, maintained there as golden, and the mind maybe remembers maybe some better days but certainly the days of the old, increasingly totalitarian guard, with a technical insight badly needed by the other animals, but "the survivor" remains largely silent - a kind of phallic staying power, or so one might be inclined to think. This reminds of the odd present-day silence of what was the quick-to-protest old liberalism that existed prior to the twenty-first century, where freedom of thought and speech were cherished as ideal values to be maintained via much protest should they ever be threatened. JFK embodied as much, I think, but the reincarnation into the hostage-taken and mind-control conditioned JSK produced a virtually silent youth--a survivor thoroughly unbeknownst to himself--who, like the old donkey, speaks up too late in the game to change anything for the better ... of what he knows but can no longer remember in any episodic sense. The Libertarian movement of course was compromised from its very beginning times, in the mid nineteen-fifties, and became little more than a gas-lit torch passed from the Left over to the Right (and I guess soon into political oblivion) - as a weak-systematized version of the American ideals of human freedom envisioned by the nation's founders, and which could have been improved upon by its citizenry, who increasingly embody mere survival and its various pacifying and humoring isms and asms.

The present and predominant form of, largely split at face-value, Right-wing political party of Western civil design looks to be on its way out of significant political power, with what Libertarianism has become going right along with it, both populist systems too weak of genuinely motivated action to make any real difference, given the utter hypocrisy inherent in the Right-wing movements now claiming Constitutional integrity as exclusively their own. What of the donkey of the single political party that is about to flex its totalitarian muscles some more in strangling the elephant party to its long-developed demise? Does it become transhuman in accordance with the belief-mythos proposed by modern eugenicists? I tend to think in terms something more like 1984 as more honestly mythical.

These two George Orwell novels, Animal Farm and 1984 have, in my opinion, been adapted into the dominant modern political agenda, the same as how the various philosophical works of Karl Marx have been adapted, as technical manuals for the establishment of compulsory social class establishing totalitarianism, via utopian despotism that establishes itself in the form of mythically idealistic cult-narratives despite obviously infiltrating organized criminality and other forms of largely covert cultural corruption. Such constitutes large planks of wood in the eyes of civilized living. (symbolized by JSK, five-years-old, standing on a wooden plank--briefly unsupported--staring down into the cool darkness of that old elevator mineshaft ... beginning to fall in some kind of a mildly entranced bliss, only to be snatched away from the fall; the Tea Party of the early 21st century was a communist initiation too, of like alchemy kind to this ... Aries to, maybe, Capricorn, or visa-versa, I still vacillate a bit confused over these issues).
