There are traces of past disasters in history - The Late Bronze Age collapse, and things like Mitochondrial Eve and the genetic bottleneck near the start of humanity proves that sometimes everything is not always OK and sometimes things don't work out for the best. If the world does become mostly radioactive, then a few people on N. Sentinel Island and in the Pacific will survive, and we (humans) can repeat the whole mess a few thousand years in the future. |
