It is anything but "clean".

Contrary to what many might think, the Earth is not blessed to have samples of every element ever created.

The most rare elements will be the ones that unleash inexpensive and unlimited supplies of energy and those elements will only be found once we start mining our solar system.

We have plenty of energy. There are enough resources for at least 7 billion people on earth, but there aren't that many people. It's probably closer to 1.2-1.5 billion, towards the lower of that range. There is not 6 billion people on top of that "with nothing" like the people living in castles and stone houses want you to believe.

We were supposed to have Flying Cars by 1999, but Evil Musk turned Progressive Aviation into a PORK FEST.

Why? I'm no fan of the liberal left but the truth is, we have about 50 years of known oil reserves left and it's only getting harder to extract and of lower quality as the years pass.

This planet only has so many resources and at the rate we're consuming them, we need to start planning now on plan B and C and ultimately get off this rock to a new home with more resources.

It sounds like science fiction but look around, this is not sustainable. If we blow this chance with ~100years of oil then another ~100years of renewables and we haven't gotten to Mars or the Moon at the very least, we will slip back into the stone-age with a depleted planet and no way to ever advance.

This is our chance as a species. Elon has his flaws, his technology is NOT perfect or even ideal but it's THE ONLY VIABLE ALTERNATIVE WE HAVE.

You'd better hope to God people like him figure it out because once we run out of oil, lithium, cobalt, etc, it's game over. That's just all there is to it.

We dont need flying cars. the ONLY reason we've been able to advance past horses and swords is oil. Oil is finite and if we dont advance our species beyond Type I before it runs out, we never will. This is our only shot, flying cars shouldnt be the focus.
