Prayer Question

I try to say this prayer daily for all departed Souls. My Brother took his life. My hope is in the Lord that I'll see him in eternity.

St. Gertrude the Great is invoked often, for prayers for the poor souls in purgatory. She had a deep empathy for those souls in purgatory, and would ask God at each Mass to have mercy on them.

God would reply to St. Gertrude that He would use whatever was offered to Him for the faithful departed, according to His inclination to show pardon & mercy.

St. Gertrude was a Benedictine and mystic writer. She had the gift of miracles and prophecy.

Jesus revealed to her His infinite love, and asked her to spread it, with love, for the suffering and for sinners.

The Prayer of St. Gertrude

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family.
Amen.

To both of you I offer this: Mercy triumphs over judgment. I have come to the conclusion within my own heart that no one is lost forever. The goal of all creation is to learn Divine Love. Divine Love will always be there to help anyone - in any situation - whether in this life or after. God knows what it will take for every soul to come to learn Divine Love. I am only human and my love is not greater than God's. Please take comfort in how vast and all encompassing is God's Love. I don't believe that the Bible is the whole picture, and there are certainly many misrepresentations made in there that have unfortunately caused a lot of sadness and grief for people.
