Children are easily lead to believe one thing or another without proof because they are innocents. But in time they grow up and have their experiences to know when they were lied to. No one knows anything for sure. It could be that the patio is the entirety and that's the end of it. Or it could be that both possibilities exist. But raising a child requires protecting them from harm while allowing them to explore the world and find their own answers, not their parents answers.
