Solace Awaits

A tiny wave upon a barren shore
Can teach the mind to open a door.
A single tear rolling down your cheek
Exposes the emotion that keeps you meek.
A lonely moment with only your thought
Reveals the confusion keeping you distraught.
Solace awaits a confirmation of desperation
Wrought by the deafening silence of separation.

There is a place we would all like to know
The time will come but for now we cannot go.
There is a way we wish that things could be
But our reality blinds us so we are unable to see.
There is a faith that can gently cradle our sanity
Sadly though it is not manifest in all of humanity.
Solace awaits the endeavor of introspective discovery
To release the captive spirit on a path to recovery.

Remember the fervor of your youthful desires
And how the cloak of change extinguished the fires.
Remember the echoes from the other side of life
That cut your restful slumber to ribbons like a knife.
Remember the joys of sharing it all with your soulmate
A beautiful dream that you knew would be your fate.
Solace awaits the proclamation of glory divine
A resolution in truth to celebrate GOD's design.
