When an account is placed with us, we send the validation letter and the clock starts ticking. On day 45 we file suit. It is amazing how many people ignore the letter, then they ignore the papers they are served with, then they ignore the notice of default judgment they are served with. Then they get hit with a garnishment and act like it is all a big surprise. Answer the validation letter. File an answer to the lawsuit. Once a judgment is in place, it is too late. |

Everything just disappears. Remember the bank, credit card agency, or who lent you your own credit in the first place. Bankers lie. THIS^^^^ I did it the easy way, though, and just disputed everything online in the 3 credit report websites. It was about fifteen years ago, after a really rough financial year involving a spouse who had a substance abuse issue and was a major liar. First I got rid of said spouse... then I went to the report and there's an area that shows each credit card or loan that is being reported. I just typed in the response area something like, "I'm not sure this is even my credit card information. Are you sure this is me?" Two days later my solid wall of red was a solid wall of green and my credit score was about 130 points higher. Here's why: The creditors are required by law to do one of two things, either 1) reverse the claim against you so that the report reverts to 'green', or, 2) open an investigation to find all physical paperwork of your original application for credit and tie the charges to your account. Which choice saves them more money? They don't even have the paperwork anymore. I'll tell you, it changed my life to have a higher credit score. It was a simple process but it was hard to do because I was so beat down from financial depression and PTSD. I had to really force myself through the process. But so worth the effort. This is true. I've done it for myself and several friends. They never have the info required. Especially if the debt has been sold to some other creditor for pennies. This is basically what Lexington Law does and charges like $40 a month for it. |

Hackers, computer security, identity theft, fraud, third party databases and internal agency mismanagement have created a ledger of fraud. The financial industry created this mess and expect the public to correct their fraudulent system they imposed upon everyone. No, I am not going to participate in their mess. Just classify all credit reports as fraudulent. I certainly don't have the time or the resources to itemize and validate someones report on me and check it for errors for free, not in this day and age. Mine is full of errors, mostly with people that have the same name as I do. Like I said, the credit report agencies brought this upon themselves from a security perspective, their systems are compromised. |
