Nothing beats Jake's playing in Bark at the Moon.

BatM is a pretty awesome jam, and though Jake is a shredder, he shows a bit of restraint in service to the tune which Randy, IMO, just didn't, especially live where every other note was a flourish and irritating.

Jake is/was awesome and one of my favorites of all time. It helps to be a guitar player and know what he was doing to appreciate some of the intricate stuff he wrote and played.

I knew his longtime guitar tech and hearing the real story about how/why he was fired from the band made me detest Ozzy and that only grew over the years after I heard of what him and Sharon have done to other band members (e.g. Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, etc).

Ozzy will always have a place in my heart because of Tony, Randy and Jake but personally, I think he's terrible for what he's done to other musicians.

Yeah, there's more actual darkness there than meets the eye, but it also seems to be pervasive amongst all the heavy hitters from the 70's, including Dio. These guys were all going to have solo careers with session musicians, basically....suck all their talent and spit them out.

They all ended up with 3rd tier no-names as a result, though I do quite like Craig Goldy he's from the Blackmore/Iommi school and does it well.
