Re: Why are there Different Perceptions of the Creator? Each has their own Perspective
Religion is man’s attempt to reach the Creator. It contains man’s thinking and man’s traditions. No religion deviates from this pattern. Religion tries to put the Creator in a box and explain the unexplainable, things that are beyond our grasp and understanding. Religion rationalizes everything they do and the traditions they follow. This includes extremists in many religious groups killing people of other religions. History is full of these examples.

The key question is who are we supposed to follow? A religion and the traditions of men or the Creator?

A religion is the path to destruction. There is some truth in religions, but there is also much paganism and man-made traditions.

There is only truth with the Creator.

To follow the Creator one must go within and strengthen your connection and relationship with the Creator. You must enhance your spiritual/intuitive side and combine it with your logic to discern your unique path.

The relationship developed within is the path to knowing and walking with the Creator. It is the natural path that was intended by the Creator.

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

I always found it interesting that Abraham walked with God and left the religions and false gods to chart a different path from everyone else. He did not belong to a religion or go to a synagogue or church to hear what men had to say about God as he knew God. He did follow a natural path like you describe. His offspring (Isaac and Jacob) followed the same natural path of walking with God.

OP, does servant of lord always post on your threads? How do you tolerate his dogmatism? He refuses to show agreement on anything and just criticizes what doesn't fit his opinion. He obviously has decided that he knows all and is the only truth.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84149868

Those that are anti-Godhead are unable to process Scripture (and thus Reality) past a certain point. They dumb the Bible down to their limited understanding of Life and expect everyone else to lower their I.Q. to match. People like that do more harm than good.

The Word of God is what manifests reality...

Hebrews 11:3
"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

The above verse is literally teaching that the Word of God acts as a Software Code generating our Universe...

Yes, the Servant of the Lord usually finds my threads and posts on them.

He is welcome on my threads as it shows the dichotomy between the narrow gate verses the wide gate.

In Matthew 7:12-14 Jesus said:

12 “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

14 For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

Jesus also said in Luke 17:20-21:

“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

The narrow gate is going within to follow the Creator on your individual path instead of following the crowd. The narrow gate requires introspection, logic, intuition, and intense soul searching.

The wide gate is where most people gravitate to as it is following the herd instead of following your spiritual connection to the Creator. It is believing doctrines of men derived from scripture instead of experiencing the word of the Creator implanted into your very being.

The Servant of the Lord is true to his path as I am to mine. Those that resonate with the words of Servant of the Lord will stay on a similar path as his.

Those that resonate with the spiritual, intuitive path will find their own unique path.

Few will choose to leave their current path as they have already made their choice.

Blessings to all on whatever path you find yourself. I appreciate all who have read the posts and contributed their thoughts to this thread.

I stand by what the verses say.

Wisdom is a good thing. However, a person can still make poor decisions if they don't continue walking in the spirit with their Creator. It takes both wisdom and walking with the Creator not to err (sin) from the path.

Your argument is not logical. It is like saying sex is bad because it can lead you into promiscuity. Sex can be used in a marriage for procreating or can be used for fulfilling selfish lusts of the flesh. Therefore sex can be both good and bad.

Wisdom emanating from the Creator is a good thing when a person stays in a close relationship to the Creator and does not get off on the wrong path. When a person uses wisdom for selfish goals, it can take them on the wrong path.

I picked the verses dealing with Solomon.

There are lots of verses that show wisdom to be a desirable thing.

For example Proverbs 13:9-10

9 The light of the righteous rejoices,
But the lamp of the wicked goes out.

10 Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife,
But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.

These verses contrast the righteous with the wicked. The righteous receiving counsel and wisdom and the wicked being overconfident and producing strife. The definition of strife is vigorous or bitter conflict, or antagonism.

So those verses indicate that wicked people are overconfident and produce strife.

Here are some more verses to consider:

James 3:16-18

16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Servant of the Lord. Thanks for the link to the wisdom verses. There are 222 verses about wisdom. All are positive verses about Creator given wisdom. There are a handful of verses that warn against the wisdom of the world and man's wisdom that is different from the wisdom given by the Creator.

However, a person can have Creator given wisdom and be lead astray by pride, riches, and worldly knowledge so one must strive to stay in your relationship with the Creator continually to avoid erring from the one path.

Here is the link that SOTL provided in case you wish to read the 222 verses:

Wisdom from fallen angels is not the same as wisdom from the Creator.

I never called wisdom Sophia.

You don't seem to understand the difference between Creator given wisdom and human wisdom. Wise people that don't walk the path with the Creator are lead astray to foolishness as they rationalize everything with human wisdom instead of Creaator given wisdom.

Do you understand the plain verses in the bible. The Creator does give wisdom and knowledge.

James 1:5

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

When the Creator gives visions and dreams such as to Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and etc. is that not imparting knowledge of future events?

Just because you may have not asked for and received wisdom from the Creator, don't assume others can't do so when the scripture clearly says that they can.

Rosh Hashanahs starts this Saturday (September 24) at sundown.
It begins the 10 days of judgement leading up to Yom Kippur on October 4.

It is a time of judgement on the world.

It is a time of balancing the scales of justice as it is Libra (September 23 to October 22).

Big things are likely to happen. Just look at the narrative in the MSM.

Re: Why are there Different Perceptions of the Creator? Each has their own Perspective
The 200 Fallen angels at the time of Jared brought all kinds of 'knowledge'. Look at what they taught people.

.....

Show us where God calls wisdom 'Sophia'.

You can't.

.....

Plenty of verses in the Bible addressing the supposed 'wise' people. Go and READ them.

Obviously these 'wise' people only had man's wisdom and not God given wisdom and they did not know God in a personal way.

Salvation doesn't require 'wisdom' nor 'knowledge'.

It requires Repentence and Belief.

This thread was not discussing salvation. You are off topic. The title is different perceptions of the Creator with each person having their own perspective.

Re: Why are there Different Perceptions of the Creator? Each has their own Perspective

A lot of threads here on GLP are speculating that big changes are soon to occur.

Stay focused on the path that you are walking.

Stay connected to the Creator.

Detach from the chaos that surrounds us and permeates this reality.

Realize that to rise above the world of duality, one must strive to walk with the Creator and see through the perspective of all.

Treat those around you as you would want to be treated.

Blessings in these final moments before us.

The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end.

Some will move on while others stay.

Only the Creator knows which group each is in.

Re: Why are there Different Perceptions of the Creator? Each has their own Perspective
...

'Creator given knowledge'????

Not Biblical really.

You'd have us believe that the Gnostics have been given 'Creator wisdom'.

Utter hogwash.
 Quoting: Servant-of-the-LORD

Do you understand the plain verses in the bible. The Creator does give wisdom and knowledge.

James 1:5

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

When the Creator gives visions and dreams such as to Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and etc. is that not imparting knowledge of future events?

Just because you may have not asked for and received wisdom from the Creator, don't assume others can't do so when the scripture clearly says that they can.
 Quoting: danielbarzohar

Servant-of-the-lord quotes the Bible but doesn't understand the words. He only has opinions of what he thinks the Bible says.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84149868

That's true for most of us. There are the Creator's words and then our interpretation of what the words mean. This is further compounded by the fact that we are dealing with various translations of all ancient texts.
 Quoting: danielbarzohar

Then our arguments are really just differences of opinions?

Are you predicting the end is near or just saying to watch as major things are a out to happen? How do you prepare for world war?

The Creator / Living God of the Bible spoke about reconciling the Gentiles back to Him many times in the Old Testament - and the entire New Testament is all about Salvation.

Gnostics reject that.

Which are you?
