When i lived there as a child the biggest quake i experienced was a double 8.1 Richter scale.
And the reason i know that is because my dad was the patrol officer for the region. And the seismology department for the region had a seismograph at our residence. We were near the sea. We immediately went too the Hill's. And there was a small tsunami
