Dems got greedy and enacted an urgency clause which meant the bill would have gone into effect instantly, instead of on January 1st 2023. That would have required a super-majority. It failed by one vote. Thankfully, there was still one Dem in the state legislature that cared about constitutionality. CA wasted no time in pushing forward a bill that would have made obtaining a CCW much more difficult, although eliminating the 'good cause' requirement. They got too greedy in trying to enact an urgency clause and now Gavin Newsom has egg on his face. Bastards. I've been married so long, I don't even look both ways when I cross the street.
