Reality before perception

So ages ago on ckp thread I mentioned to you about an “angel” encounter I had.
You wanted to know more, but I was hesitant to divulge as I’ve been ridiculed before when I told the story.

I’ll try keep it short.


1996, myself and an ex girlfriend, driving towards a small town just outside Johannesburg, South Africa.

The sun set, I turned my cars lights in but they were not working.

Drove into the small town in the dark and pulled up. Couldn’t get lights to work.

We made the decision to drive back home , it was a long dark road, notorious for car accidents, with hazard lights on .

Just as we were leaving the town, the steering wheel suddenly pulled sharply to the left. The car pulled up a small driveway that led into an empty , pitch black parking lot.

Standing alone in the car park was a black man.

The moment I saw him I felt a huge sense of relief wash over me, which was highly unusual. Encountering a black man in a deserted dark area often did not end well for people in South Africa in those days.

My ex gf was hysterical, begging me to get out of there.

I told her not to worry, he was going to help us.

The guy approached the car and asked me what was wrong.

I told him about the lights. He asked me to get out the car.

He climbed in , fiddled under the dashboard, showed me where a spark plug had come loose. Re- attached it, lights came on.

He got out the car. I asked him how I could repay him.

He said it was no problem, and walked off, literally disappeared into the darkness.

My ex gf was by now shaking with fear and crying, furious I had let him in the car.

I tried to explain the overwhelming sense of relief I had when I saw him, and how the steering wheel had pulled in my hands, forcing me up into the parking lot.

She said I was insane, and our relationship never really recovered from that lol.

Anyway, that’s my encounter with what I can only describe as an angel.

Every lock can be picked
Every heart can be stopped
Every phone can be hacked
Google knows when you sleep

Yet I'm baffled..

This thread, is as the title suggests, a Digg for truth. (The title was suggested by one of GLP's members.....guess who? hahaaaaa. i thought the title was perfect, cuz there will be some digg-ing in this thread.)

There will possibly be disagreement, but hey, what's a discussion/debate without disagreement, right?

We will be discussing God, and His existence or non-existence.

For me, i will be referring to the God of the Bible, and attempting to state why i believd in this God of the Bible.

what for? it is stated in the book of exodus...

"Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."

a jealous being aint omnipotent, which means it is something else but sure not a god...

the source of all is all. source doesnt have any reason to be jealous cause it fuckin is everything.

In addition, does this God have "temper tantrums"?

Do they also drink Adrenochrome from their freshly sacrificed children, after terrorizing them to the utmost?

Does God have a right to be jealous, and is His jealousy based on sin, such as acting out with a temper tantrum, and the equivalent of a "road rage" incident?

Yes, i have, and do, read the Bible.

Abraham was being tested so to speak, which parallels God giving His only begotten Son as a Sacrifice for us.

Was any of this sadistic or wantonly evil? Does God get a kick out of causing pain and suffering without rhyme of reason? Is He "blood thirsty"?
