They (NASA/Media) are so excited! It's almost like we've never done this before. Everything is so new and exciting Yet old and tired. What's the matter with the Space Shuttle concept? NOPE! I'm so excited! I was conceived in July of 69' That's when we landed on the MOON! I wasn't even born yet...or was I? Because 9 months later I opened-my-eyes...for the first time! What an odd place this seems to me. 52 years ago we went to the moon riding on a Saturn V. This time the rocket is named Artemis...she's Apollo's girlfriend Or something. And the rockets look remarkably similar. How nice and 'Old School'. I like the 'Old School' style. That's why I carry a 1911. I just thought maybe we would have made some progress. They're using a capsule too...just like Apollo 11. Why eleven? Why not one? Two Towers. I WANT TO PARTY AND ROCK 7 ROLLA AND WE CAN TALK ROCKET STUFF! FLORIDA PEOPLE: Who wants to car pool to Coco Beach! I'm in Tampa...I've been told we can see the rocket launch FROM HERE! WOW! But I've never been to a Saturn V launch...I mean Artemis...Artemis Launch!. We're going to the MOON! {Hopefully...it's not like we've never done it before. Right?} By supporting NASA, you are greenlighting the development of off-world nuclear arms bases, making sedition seem like innocuous child’s play. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38733927 This one is just going to do a lunar rendezvous, right? When is the launch? A Lunar Rendezvous....are you joking? We can't do no space hook-ups of any kind yet. Baby steps We go up...fly around the moon, and come home. AND THAT'S A BIG FUCKING DEAL!!! Oh yes it is. This reminds me of April 1981 Space Shuttle Columbia on her maiden voyage. I was all amped-up for that shit. We learned all about the amazing black tiles to shield the heat. It was a big deal! It quickly became so ordinary, routine launches whenever, whatever. Until the Challenger went BOOM! MONDAY 8am-10am EST: Launch Window Marlin! |
