I've been a carpenter for over 20 years now. Always payed decent but never great. Last 12 months that has changed. I was just offered a 90k a year job as a lead carpenter for a commercial flooring company. 90k to to lay carpet tiles in a Midwest state where cost of living is super cheap. Never thought I'd see this day. There is a massive shortage of labor. Wether its because people like the op don't wanna work and checked out, or millions have died I don't know. I do know skilled trades are in full swing right now. If you don't have a job right now and want one contact your local union in whatever field you choose. They are hiring apprentices.

It is an evolutionary psychological adaptation.

When someone is in perpetual state of struggling to get by, they stop planning for the far future. When the state of struggle is perpetual, then there is no 'abundant harvest' and therefore no real physical means to achieve any positive future you may have planned. Therefore expending the energy it takes to look forward or plan for the future is actually a detriment to your position in the present struggle.

It's normal to lose interest in work when there's no perceived way to "get ahead", and get that 'abundant harvest' that you need to create a different outcome for yourself.

I think the question is HOW EXACTLY can we clock out of the wage slave life?

I have done the best I can, I own my own property, and live within my means so that I can stay debt free. I have managed to get my finances to the point that I only have to wage slave at a part time job, so at least I have a little time leftover for myself - but I still have to work.

I can’t barter to pay my cell phone, internet and electricity - so I have to wage slave for that. Also I have my “rent”. Even though I worked my ass off and bought a piece of property, built the house myself and made all of the improvements that made my property value go up I have to pay yearly property taxes to my county, which in my opinion negates my legitimate ownership because if I can’t afford to pay my property taxes “rent” the county could seize my property that I worked so hard for - so because of these things I have to keep wage slaving, even if it’s only part time.

So the question is, how do you get yourself out of slavery and make some money without going on the government tit? Starting a business doesn’t seem like so great of an option either since it takes a lot of capital to start up and so often the government wants to get its slimy tentacles into anything that the average joe wants to do.

You will just become a leach on PEOPLE THAT HAVE TO WORK.

Dont worry about the System, we are bringing in millions of workers to replace you so you wont have to ever work ( and you wont be able to if you wanted to).

Your generation has been programmed to think in this manner in order to make room for your replacement.

Start a business that improves others lives or brings a smile to them or something necessary.

Buy a trailer and mount a pump tank and get a sewage pump and advertise septic emptying service for $500 and do two or three jobs a month maybe 6 hours time and have rest of time free to pursue your own passions.

Understand what you are saying but its also dangerous because you are defining yourself by work, more effort is more moral and better. That creates self righteous slaves. Construction guys used to be like that. Forget using modern tools and lifts, the old way using human effort is more better.

The lazy have created tools to leverage effort. Effort is for caveman.

but how do you afford internet to post on glp, food to eat, electricity to charge your phone, money to pay your phone, somewhere to live whether it be a house or a tent. how do you pay for that without working?

Sounds like a content slave, loving his slave life in a slave world even claiming his entire being, forget personality or anything like that, learning, hobbies, it is all about that slave position.
