Mountain goat escapes the clutches of an eagle

I'd like to see a re-match. Shit I'd pay to see a re-match !

Yeh, that's what I thought too, cuz the eagle was crying.

These birds usually try and harass the goats until they fall to their death. This one was either stupid or got claws stuck.

I wondered about this too as it seemed clear early on that the attack was doomed to ultimate failure. How would a species survive taking such incredible risk as a matter of routine. Big predatory cats are very wary of copping a broken jaw from a zebra kick and presumably only hunt out of desperation an adult zebra in it's prime.

That Eagle really doubled down on all or nothing there, and like another poster suggested, I figure the Eagle probably lost it's life, maybe it recovered enough if no wing damage, doubt it would last long if it couldn't fly for a time.

I'm curious about what came next actually, Eagle died from wounds right there? Couldn't fly for a bit and goats finished it? Flew away after a while?

African or European eagle?

A cynic might imagine a captive eagle was not fed for a couple of days then released near goats where there were no young easy targets..

Goats, like people, are tough motherfuckers.
Smart too, which nobody knows unless you've owned some.
They are fun, smart, and very helpful.
Oh, and tough as nails.
They don't eat tin cans, but they are browsers, and will eat stuff that horses won't. They make excellent paddock/pasture mates.

yup, the claws seized some how. Eagles have strong leg and breast muscles but their bodies are fragile. The first tumble probably wounded and disoriented the Eagle. The goat bucked the eagle off. The eagle never let go.

That was a dumb young eagle, he more than likely paid for that mistake with his life. Eagles are amazing creatures.

Not sure goat will survive. The talons in goat’s back will cause HUGE infection.

Just climate change. I saw another video where eagles picked up a man and flew off. Some other eagles were right behind it and snagged a bunch of dwarves. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see the video myself. Awesome birds

That Eagle didn't die when the goat hit the rock - its wings were still spanned.

It died when the goat took a rolling header after. Thats when the eagle was just flopping yet still talon hooked on the goat. Then shaken off.
