Border responsibility belongs to the Federal Government, not the governors of states. Border patrol agents and Custom officials are government employees.

As long as the federal government is complying with federal law as in this case they are not. States government have a responsibility to then provide that security that the federal government either chooses not to ...as in this case or not capable.

Abbott is compromised and is complying with the directions from those entities.

Trump could have built a COMPLETE border wall by simply picking up the phone and tell DOD to send Navy Seabee Construction Battalions to go build a wall--they have all the skilled construction men already on payroll so only cost would have been materials.
