Your argument is valid .. BUT this issue is about a historical agreement.

Example - This is like renting a farm from a corporation, then you decide you want to buy the farm, but the farm is not for sale... Your lease agreement was to raise corn and is about due, so you turn to media, friends, and talk about how unjust it is that the landlord is going to take the land back.

Taiwan was historic agreement and is owned by China.

The lease is due.

There is absolutely no way to defend that country, grant that country freedom when China is 20 mi away across the water.
