Snapshot of the security situation around the world - 08/16/2022
Starting overseas:

War in Eastern Europe holds significant potential for spillover into neighboring countries. Russia has threatened to begin targeting the supply lines of NATO nations aiding Ukraine. Finland and Sweden are on the fast track to NATO membership. Russia has threatened a variety of responses, including deployment of tactical nuclear weapons to NATO's borders, if either country joins the alliance.

NATO has announced they will put over 300,000 troops at high readiness, up from 40,000 previously. The Pentagon has stated it will significantly increase the long-term U.S. military presence in Europe. This includes the new forward headquarters for the U.S. Army V Corps at Camp Kościuszko in Poznan, Poland (now the easternmost U.S. Army base in Europe).

N. Korea has been preparing their Punggye-ri Nuclear Site for another underground test. In recent weeks N. Korea has been testing nuclear triggers and a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) capability.

China says it is extending live-fire military exercises around Taiwan that have disrupted shipping and air traffic since Nancy Pelosi's visit two weeks ago. The Pentagon says the U.S. will send aircraft and warships to the Taiwan Strait in the coming weeks in anticipation of Beijing’s “intensified pressure campaign” against the self-ruled island. Last month the heads of FBI and MI5 issued a rare joint statement warning about the broad threat to the West posed by China.

US and Indian military forces will hold joint war games in the Himalayan mountains in October, less than 60 miles from India’s disputed border with China.

Both the Islamic State and al Qaeda have issued threats of once again carrying out attack campaigns against "infidel" western nations, including the U.S..

Here at home, the threats are more visceral and in your face. For instance, the nation is experiencing a rash of horrific mass casualty attacks, including:

A mass shooting at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, IL that left 8 dead and 29 injured.

A mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX that left 22 dead and 16 injured.

A mass shooting at a Buffalo, NY supermarket that left 10 dead and 3 injured.

Last week DOJ revealed a plot by Iran to murder former Trump administration officials for the 2020 killing of IRGC commander Quassem Solimani.

Two weeks ago, the State Dept issued a new Worldwide Caution warning of possible retaliation for the killing of al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri.

In June DHS issued a new Terrorism Advisory System bulletin warning the domestic threat environment was expected to "become more dynamic" with possible targets to include public gatherings, faith-based institutions, schools, government facilities and personnel, and critical infrastructure.

America's southern border is also wide open with a near constant arrival of immigrants from more than 100 countries. CBP reports the apprehension of more than 50 individuals appearing on the Terrorism Watch List.

Law enforcement is preparing for a noisy run-up to the midterm elections, and that is while they themselves are increasingly targeted. From the 'Defund' movement across the U.S., to direct attacks on police (up 59% in 2021), this essential mechanism used to restrain evil in our society is being targeted from multiple directions.

And perhaps most dangerous, we have a deeply divided public beginning to strain under the pressure of intentionally manufactured crises and alarming domestic policy. From fierce political and ideological differences to concerted efforts to change the moral and ethical compass of the country, people are extremely angry. Something big is coming...

Given just what is listed above, are you really comfortable depending on the establishment media to keep you informed of threats to your safety when they are actually part of the problem?

That's a dangerous gamble, particularly given their history of blatant lies to the American public, the coverups and misdirection plays, and the arrogance of their politically expedient reporting. If it does not fit the agenda, forget about it.

So where does that leave you? The threat environment demands that you as the leader, together with your family, have certain security plans in place, and this includes staying well informed.

When you are at the office and an active shooter situation breaks out at the mall down the road, or perhaps at your child's school, don't you want to know about it IMMEDIATELY?

When Antifa / BLM start tearing up cities again, or when there is an earthquake on the west coast near the same city where your mother resides, don't you want to know about it quickly? Perhaps like a text message on your phone?

“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
