A few years ago, I bought some green veggie bags for storage. The bananas don't ripen as fast in the green veggie bags... Once I bought some green bananas at a borderline roadside stand in California. While traveling through Nevada, the dry climate made my bananas ripen in a few hours. By the time I got to my destination, I had to throw most of the bananas out because; they were over ripe... I also heard that they ripen bananas using a special gas used in sterilizing hospital equipment/utensils... It is possible that they applied too much gas to these green bananas to make them ripen too quickly...  |

Bananas aint worth it. Fuck bananas Keep your bananas wrapped up in plastic from the grocer fruit and veggie section, and then put the plastic inside the plastic grocery you carried the groceries in. Keep them wrapped tight. This keeps you from getting fruit flies, and the bananas will last two days longer before they peel starts getting brown spots and the banana softens. |

While it is true a carrot has a higher glycemic index than cereal, for example, the carrot only contains a few grams of sugar. It's mostly water and fiber. The cereal has way more grams of carbs. Here we arrive at a little lesson for Mr. Hubris: the glycemic load (GL). GL = (glycemic index * g carbs) / 100. So even you are able to see that a high GI can be offset by foods low in carbohydrates, SUCH AS BANANAS. Even the glycemic index of 51 of a ripe banana compared to a 41 of green doesn't make much difference. If a GI of 10 makes a difference to you, get off your fat ignorant ass and try exercise.
