Family lived there and went to the park nearly every weekend. We all moved out when the vibes got bad. Authorities are lazy and nut-jobs run the institutions in nearby Waukegan.

Place has been going downhill for years. Lots of fights, gang activity, etc.... It's probably related to that. It's not that far from several not so nice communities.

They are really using Illinois in their psy op wars...

I grew up in Waukegan. Moved in 2007 to North East Wisconsin due to crime getting bad and I wanted my daughter to go to a smaller high school.

Gurnee schools are over crowded.

But yeah, 6 Flags Gurnee at the Water Park section, is full of minorities that don't care about manners or cleanliness.

GURNEE, Ill. — Three people were reportedly shot in the parking lot of Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, prompting a heavy police presence.

Any time that a shooting there is reported, it is gangs.

The mall is so big that they can't do anything about the gangs. They even hang out at the Lego store. When you see blacks in the Lego store, you know that something is up.

Waukegan was always shady.

Some schools our sports teams did not use the away locker rooms. It's amazing how you can go from upscale to trash from suburb to suburb in that area.

I told you waaaaaaayyyy back in the 1980s they knew big drug deals went down in the parking lot there. And I do mean BIG.
The park capacity is 55,000 - or that is what it was when I worked there - and there were days they had to cap letting people in - it is mass chaos in any situation anywhere with that many people -

Marriott's Great America?

First rule of thumb is stay far away from any place or road named “MLK”.

Six Flags have raised their prices this year in the hopes of having less fights at their parks. But, they ended up just losing money and still having fights and worse.

I grew up going to this park in the early 80s (70s too) when it was Marriott's Great America. Ironic-Great America? Willard's Whizzer was one of my first roller coasters. They are ruining my childhood memories.
