They are natural opponents, thats why.
Females want a mans life for free to raise their spawn, although they are eager to run off with them whenever they feel like it.
Men just want someone to have sex with and validate them.

Those are generally not stable relationship features since females dpnt like sport sex and men dont like female fantasy.

Males and females are supposed to be different after puberty so that difference draws them together to procreate.

Energy has to opposite to attract.

There are men and men and women and women. Some men can understand women and some women can understand men.

Some men can understand other men, some don't. Some women can understand other women, some don't.

For instance, I think I can understand Brief. But getting along is indeed another issue...
