Depends on what OS if it’s win 7 or older loose it. Not supported anyway. Win 10 has an option at boot you can erase user data and clear it. Press and hold f10

So with my 5600x and 3060ti when I have smart access memory enabled the pc runs worse(slower) in all games. Whats the deal

how to i get a cheap windows key? i paid the $169.00 but the mother board ended up being bad and so my key went with the MB when i returned it. microsoft basically says " sorry for your luck"
so now im like fuck them ill take a bootleg key

"smart" means there's an additional layer of processing. Games like direct access. Some games even have spcific binaries that go direct to assembly intructions so they can bypass the API for some things that really need low latency.

i just built this i9 , 3080ti, ddr5 rig and got to use that new key for about 2 days.

I work for a large defense contractor. We have dedicated departments that handle UAC and building images for approved hardware etc. in my personal neck of the woods I deploy in onprem VMware and or AWS / AZure using pre-defined images of 2019 or Rhel 8/9 etc these internal teams develop all that and give it to us as an ISO. Yes it’s still very much a thing it’s just ….. different. It’s all about the cloud now.

True story. But anytime anyone ever tells me something is running slow - I run home to mommy. ( run a good comprehensive AV scan ). If it finds nothing fantastic. One more pc on the net we can trust. Never ever hurts

Probably depends how modern the companies code base is, I'm in a similar situation with very dated code and we spend a decent amount of time on QA. Newer stuff is probably going to have a lot more automated tools and that's where I see the QA teams are still there but using more automation tools and modified scripts than literally clicking and typing shit

I usually run to that first too though lately seems like only the most technologically inept people really get many viruses, or those that know enough to get it on accident. Seems like the browser securities, OS security, and sanitizing of the accessible web are making a difference. Plus I don't mind one more bad actor out there to obfuscate....

Just got done installing a Nvidia Quadro 1800 in my hp elite desktop. Had to cut out a slot in the panel to make it fit. Runs much smoother now. Still need to do something about the the hole thou...
