The most important thing to teach any student is to question things and to not believe everything that they read and are told regardless of the source of the information.

Think, test, verify. If it cannot be proven then it can only be pondered and should never be accepted as a belief.

Well after you believe in Jesus the New Jerusalem Calendar is really good.

The most important concept a bible student would need to know is that the 6 days of creation were literally 6, 24 hour days, and that Noah's flood was worldwide and did cover the whole earth.

If you do not believe these 2 facts, and allow yourself to question these events, then you will lose your faith to man made malarkey.

Teach them that the writers of the Bible used different literary styles. One is allegory. The Bible is not to be taken literally word for word.

Start with Jesus' warning about the leaven of the Pharisees.

Disregard any special racial considerations when reading the rest.

There are only lessons to be learned about people who tried to make covenants with God and broke them.

Let your yes be yes and your no be no.
