99.99% of the time someone pulls their gun in self defense it is there or less shots at close range within 5 yards.

Bs fbi statistics show an almost flat curve over all calibers. If you get shot in the right spot you die .22 or 44mag.

45 over 9mm 100%. The 1911 has a very slim grip that is concealed very well. If you need more than 8 rounds your screwed either way. A ccw isn’t for taking on 5 armed robbers. It simply has more ballistic shock.

I used to swear by 45. Then I switched to 9mm and loved it.

More rounds, better concealment options with single stack magazines. You can use high velocity fmj or hollow points depending on needs. I'd keep 2 mags (one already loaded) of hollow points and a backup mag with fmj.

From what I know from friends.
The Sig P365 is known to jam. Fix is sanding down something, not sure. Just look into that one more. This was years ago so may be fixed now.
Where as another friends Sig P226 has never failed or jammed, even after lots of firing and the slide smoking, great arm.
Both were 9mm

The more I read the Sig P365 looks like the way to go. With so many options in 9mm ammo and choices of capacity it looks like the winner.

I know they work and I know people like them but I am not a Glock fan. I have never hit well with Glock. It just doesn't fit my hand. I hit much more consistantly with Sig.
