It a semi good idea no foundation for one, trump's wall is anti-dig, and they are known for tunnels.
for two they can be removed as quickly as they were placed in the future.
For three they are made of sheet steel, a cordless drill and Sawall would be a lot more effective then
against the much thicker boarder wall and being angle iron.
Part of the reason for slats in trumps wall if so the bord patrol can see what's going on the other side, this will not allow that.

This was an Idea I posted on here in a thread on the topic years ago.

They would need to fill the interior with concrete and other fill stack them two high.

Certain ones on the top, say every 10 miles, could be left open for ICE response teams or ICE volunteers willing to do civic service for a week out of the year as spotters; So set up as base stations with minimal on hand amenities.

Heck, I would go to Texas and stay in a cargo container on the wall and camp out there for a week acting as a spotter. As long as I had a dry place to sleep, water and food maybe some company, it would be just like camping. Might even help apprehend some criminals too.

Great idea!

Every one on the ground level will have a big door cut on the Mexico side, with shelves installed to warehouse the drugs and guns.
Then the rest of the space will be fitted with lounge furnature. Power will be run to them for air conditioning and lights.

The upper level ones will have water tanks installed to give running water for outside showers. there will be a line of taco trucks to feed everyone. ALso gun ports on the second floor containers.

Then every so often, one will have a hole cut on the US side with big garage doors installed so they just look like the side of the shippping container when closed. Every so often the door opens, and every form of conveyance comes pouring through, carrying drugs and illegals.

Probably also have a currency exchange bank in one, with ATMs.

Maybe they should think a bit more about the plan.

ANd shipping containers are not cheap these days.

SHipping containers is like installing hotels for them.

OP lives somewhere that shipping containers magically assemble themselves into walls automatically.

My idea with fences, concertina wire and landmines would actually work.

Shipping containers are famous in the prepper community as bugout shelters. They used to be interesting in that application when they were cheap and if you stacked them in a big rectangle 2 or 3 high, you could make a defensable fort of sorts.

Then they increased in price several fold.
Basically like installing portable condos for them as a motel along their route. :) It gives them privacy on the other side, shelter on the inside, elevated surveillence and firing positions, and they are steel, so it gives them some cover from small arms fire. Fecking brilliant!

They will have brothels running in some of the containers and a line of guys waiting to be serviced. (including half the border patrol agents who will suddenly start helping with the drug smuggling as well.

The idea is so colossally stupid that words fail me.

So the containers are better than chain link and I have no doubt there is already a security team, plan to watch the containers from both sides of wall.
