The informant is likely a member of Trump's secret service.
Mar-a-lago Trump home is a SCIF (A sensitive compartmented information facility )

In 2021, the security @ Mar-a-Lago started an upgrade.

"A $580,600 Secret Service contract awarded in August to a construction contractor based in Arkansas states its purpose is “TO PROVIDE MAR-A-LAGO WITH A PHYSICAL SECURITY BUILD-OUT UPGRADE,” according to federal procurement records. The contract goes through July 28, 2022, and was awarded without a competitive bidding process; the cost, naturally, will be borne by U.S. taxpayers."

Someone in the secret services would have said something like:

"This place is not secure enough to contain classified documents"

FBI to secret service agent: "Can you sign an affidavit confirming this?"

Secret service agent may have even been conned into it.

Now the FBI can justify that documents may have been stored under inadequate security - got some corrupt lib judge to sign a warrant for the FBI to collect any document from jan 2017 to jan 2021

The outrage caused by the raid resulted in Merrick Garland leaking to the press that the raid was about "Classified Nuclear secrets"

Turns out this was a badly orchestrated fishing expedition probably related to the Crossfire Hurricane case!!
