There's a 2003 interview of the first time we ever got to meet Michelle Obama in her Chicago kitchen and she was all kinds of pissed off looking. Not looking at the camera or talking, doing that dead-eye stone-face thing. I was surprised it was ever aired. Every time she is on the cover of a new book I want to find it. It's been gone for years.

Try finding the Ted talk where Gates said the population needs to be reduced, I watched the video 10 years ago but since has been scrubbed.

Interesting I noticed this happened around 10 to 14 days ago; a part of my job in finding suppliers is to search the web, I ran into a problem that I never had 2 weeks ago; search results (not in images) that returned zero results unless I clicked on the thing that said google omitted results do you want them

Oh it's a damn pain in the ass, it will be there downfall, a search engine that doesn't search

It's not deleted though. You need to get more specific to see more results having to do with what you are looking for. If 42 pages of pancakes isn't enough add blueberry etc to the search.

Should I be printing important stuff out? I mean like ebooks and prepper info and stuff like that?

Google's been that way for years, but never as severe as today

Its been going on for awhile. Started 6months before the Presidential election at operation warp speed.

The Internet Memory Hole started in earnest about 2007 when Ron Paul became hugely popular as a GOP candidate. It accelerated in 2009 after the TEA Party protest and finally in 2016 with the rise of Cancel Culture and Woke politics.

Internet search engines and popular web sites are no longer a reliable historic record. An incredible amount of information has been assigned the the digital bit-bucket "Memory Hole".

Only people's memories, Internet archives and individual's are keeping many old controversial documents from vanishing altogether.

The nature of the internet and the ease with which information can be edited and often deleted is in one respect an Orwellian dream, however the Genie is never going to be put back in the bottle. Once trust is lost, it takes a monumental effort to be re-established.

Google is much like Wikipedia - totally unreliable when it comes to anything even slightly controversial. Once this is understood, trust is gone.

This is dumb. Do you understand how much data storage it takes to categorize 6B links.

Of course they filter the shit to "friendly" sites but that's not what's being called out.

Are their practices ethical no....but "the internet" is not being deleted.

Let me point out a phenomena that has been going on for several years now:

Virtually every library all around me (I'm in highly literate Massachusetts) has been selling books for many years now. I'm wondering what the hell they have left on the shelves. It seems like they're more into selling books than loaning them. I also wonder if they are getting rid of any books that go against their Marxist philosophy/policies.

KEEP YOUR HARD COVER BOOKS. BUY MORE. STORE THEM. SHARE THEM.

At some point we may be like the Irish monks of the Dark Ages - keeping the spirit of civilization alive through our illuminated manuscripts.

AND BE SURE YOUR CHILDREN KNOW HOW TO READ AND WRITE, ESPECIALLY CURSIVE. This again is another way they are trying to stamp out general literacy and re-introduce an ignorant peasant class.

THEIR GOAL IS A RETURN TO FEUDALISM BUT WITH TECHNOLOGY....AT LEAST FOR THEM.

Russian authorities have blocked or deleted some 138,000 websites since Moscow launched its invasion of neighboring Ukraine in February, the country’s prosecutor general said Monday.

Following over 300 requests from prosecutors, Russia’s communications watchdog Roskomnadzor has censored thousands of websites in a bid to combat “fake news,” according to prosecutor general Igor Krasnov.

The internet pre-2019 was fucking nuts. You could actually obtain real information about things like viruses.

I remember when CV19 "first hit" and the big "wE nEeD A VaX!!" conversations started, I searched for "Why we can't vaccinate against coronavirus (like the common cold)" and got a bunch of fucking information explaining why it's impossible.

I've had problems especially with natural health information.

I'm glad I bookmarked a lot of sites several many years ago.

Seems like no matter what search engine you use, all you get are either pharmaceutical & academic backed mainstream medical sites, or copy-paste SEO click farm BS.

The real information from nutritional and naturopathic and herbalist doctors who curate articles for their clients, etc. and maintain databases of papers, essays, charts, etc., that stuff is buried, it's impossible to find really. I really noticed when search results for this topic, herbs, vitamins, nutrition, etc. started changing.

Ive known this for nearly 3 years now...

Its why i use yandex search...i find mostly all i need...Where in google i cant...

I search for free movie sites all the time...i started getting nothing with google...

Bing ..HA..a joke...

Yandex is still working ,at least last time i used it...to find movie sites that i cannot find...
