We are about to enter a dark age of knowledge where all but the mainstream sites will be searchable. Eventually all digital information will be erased from the population at larges' computers. All pdf's, all word docs and all book marks will be deleted.

It will be the return of the information dictators and monopolists. We the serfs will live in an information and knowledge desert.

We will pay sky high prices for even the most basic of information and knowledge if it is even available. Of course, they will say AI will do all our thinking for us so we don't need this information and knowledge.

Many books will be "burned" and digitally burned but this will just mean made inaccessible via software. Only what the PTB want us to read will be available. Eventually reading will be phased out. I don't know who "they" are, but be thankful we are not in Russia where there is a State Censorship Agency called Roskomnadzor that has controls over all media and has blocked around 5000 sites. Even the last non-government controlled TV station in Russia got shut down in March.

I remember the days when one could get hundreds of non mainstream websites search results on the first 10 pages of a search engine results. Now it is mostly mainstream sites. Worthless.

not if you had a novel or proprietry OS

then hostile elsewhere finds themselves in a system that is uninterpretable

get all on disk

then back up and keep underground safe
